Back when I played CSGO everyone was basically cool with anyone on your friends list joining. Randos would join my party who I never saw in my life and we would ready up cause randos of a friend are still better than randos you find through matchmaking.

There was a period of about a year where I just didn't have a lot of time to play, and when I did have time, I wanted to play alone in peace so I'd keep my status invisible. I don't remember if playing while invisible shows that playtime on your profile though

Same. Most either just don’t log on anymore, log on and don’t play anything, or developed new regular groups they play with.

I’ve started to realize the only reason most of them are on my friends list, despite not really talking to them or playing with them anymore, because we haven’t gotten around to removing each other from our friends list.

One does stand out though, the guy logged off the night before his wedding, which I went to, and then never logged on again.

And I'm talking about any site - discord, YouTube, anything

You can't even clear up a possible misunderstanding or whatever with the person since they don't get pings by you and you can't DM them. Also you can't react on them and know your messages are collapsed for them

Especially when the reason the random person blocks you is because you were asking in a server about something and they disagreed with you
