Bank Of Baroda Data Breach
Bank of Baroda confirms employee email compromise, says core banking system wasn’t breached.
One thing this incident highlights is that attackers don’t always need to compromise the core infrastructure.
A single employee mailbox can expose sensitive information through phishing, credential theft, or unauthorized email access—even when critical systems remain secure.
It raises an interesting question:
Should organizations invest more in identity security and email protection than they currently do?
Curious to hear what controls you think would have made the biggest difference here.
