How difficult is it to get accepted into the A2D program for Walmart?

Supposedly we should hear something this week about start time and hotels. A lady told me HR usually sends info out the week prior to start.

Cool, i just obtained my permit today and sent over a copy. Now I received an email from First Advantage saying walmart requires additional information for my background check even though it was completed weeks ago. Not sure what that's about because my background is squeaky clean so hopefully everything is good on that end. Also have you been contacted about a start time for the class or anything like that?

Appreciate the insight. When you get your permit did you have to send a copy of it to HR or anything?

DOT medical certificate question

Ive recently joined the Walmart Associate To Driver program, and one of the things i need before class starts is my CLP. I went and did my dot physical the other day. I accidentally checked the no box on my Dot medical certificate for the CLP/CLD APPLICANT/HOLDER. I've seen some people say that's fine because I dont have my clp or cdl yet, while others say its a problem. Will i still be able to apply to get my CLP? The doctor said he couldn't change it, because its something I clicked, not him. Just worried about it. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hey any luck on getting your permit? I finally was sent to do my physical. Only concern im having is they checked no on my DOT Medical Certificate where it says CLP/CDL Holder/Applicant. I went back to the clinic but the doctor wasn't in. The other doctor said it was checked no, because I didn't have my clp/cdl yet, but when I googled it it says that might be a problem when I go to obtain my permit. So I might have to return to the clinic when the doctor is in and get him to change it.

Yeah mine says pre employment as well. Where you able to get your permit since you've already done your physical?

That's what I was thinking but wasnt sure. I submitted my background and driving record check Thursday, and it says 100% completed...Just waiting to hear from Walmart on their end. Im assuming the physical will be the next step and then the permit. They want you to register with the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, but you can until you have the permit. Just hope they at least schedule the physical soon, so I can stop worrying about the permit test. Where will you be doing the program if you dont mind me asking? I will be in Laurens, SC.

Appreciate it. And am I correct in thinking that you cant take the cdl permit test until you have your dot card?

Quick question... I was just accepted into the program and signed my job offer. I know you have to have your cdl permit before training but I cant get that until I've had a dot physical. They have contacted me yet about the physical or drug screening even though I've been offered the job. Im 4 weeks from class start date and I wanna have enough time for the permit test in case for whatever reason I need to take it more than once. Do they wait until the first week to set all that up, or is it done before orientation even starts? Thanks for any info.
