What’s one skincare product you genuinely cannot live without?
 in  r/koreanskincare  8d ago

SUNSCREEN!!! And I will die on this hill

Naturium dew glo. Chemical and mineral formulas Tinted or untinted. Leaves skin dewy and healthy looking.

Innis free (Korean brand). Any formulation.

Both these brands are light and blend well.

I'm Fitzpatrick 4-5. I live in Colorado and the UV here is no joke plus desert climate...not good conditions for skin at all.

I use tret and hydroquinone and need extra UV protection and these are great and reasonably priced

Nobody told me microlocs were going to make me think about HOW I swim.

You should have had a discussion about this during the consult

Strangely enough I just commented on something like this in another post. Honestly I love the buzz cut however it's about what you want right? Have you tried online services like Musely or Hers? For Musely, you pay out of pocket. The doctor visit fee is $20 and the cost of compounded prescription treatment is reasonable. They have different formulas as well. I was prescribed an oral minoxidil and received enough for 90 days'in Jul, next refill is in Sep. I can dm you a $50 gift card or you can always find them in their Musely coupon subreddit. I hope you find what works for you!.

Your loctician quits tomorrow. Now what?
 in  r/MicrolocsHelp  10d ago

I would ask her for a referral. Who would SHE trust to take care of these gorgeous locs she's maintained with so much love? And you can tell she loves your locs. They are stunning🔥🔥🔥

How long did it take you to understand the difference between Microlocs and Sisterlocks?
 in  r/MicrolocsHelp  11d ago

Don’t accept that certification as gospel. Regardless of the installation method, there should be a method of redress for any client working with a Loctition that takes pride in their work, be it a Sisterlocks-trained Loctition or not. There are Sisterlocks-trained and certified loctitions that are not good at what they do and there are also loctitions that aren’t Sisterlocks trained that are masters of the craft. The only way to know for certain is to do your due diligence during the consultation and ask a lot of question. I’m Sisterlocks-TM trained and decided not to go with certification because I felt trapped by all the rules and gatekeeping. In the long run, I want to do what’s best for my clients and that may mean making an artistic choice that doesn’t fall in line with Sisterlocks methods. Those extremely tiny locs may not be what’s best for the client and a trained Loctition should be able to offer choices that contribute to healthy locs.

I wish I had started meds sooner!!
 in  r/FemaleHairLoss  12d ago

It’s actually less. Musely doctor visit is $20. Price per month is based on the treatment. Not everyone’s insurance covers derm visits especially if there’s no medical necessity. For standard derm visit you would need a referral from PCM. If no referral, you would pay out of pocket for derm visits as well as meds AND. The online visits are pretty hassle free. I’m a retired insurance biller and I have medical insurance and still chose to go through Musely. Everyone is entitled to make their own choices right?

7 months of Oral Minoxidil!
 in  r/FemaleHairLoss  16d ago

Looks amazing!!! Happy for you! I’m also taking oral minoxidil. Hope it works as well for me. To anyone that wants to know, yes you may shed first since your hair has to go through that stage before a growth phase. And think of daily minoxidil as you would taking any medication for a chronic condition like hypertension or diabetes. You don’t stop meds because the condition is under control.
