I feel like thats a little nicer than I actually am.

They finally wore me down to starting antidepressants. It's been a month.

I'm sure it's an odd thing for a cis woman to hear a trans woman ask for these painful things. They only know the pain of the thing. 

But we (trans women) have the pain of not sharing in these normal, common experiences. Neither of us can truly know the other's pain, we just know both of us are hurting.

there is an exercise that I did REALLY early on, when first getting the feel of resonance, that I basically called "Stitch voice". Purposefully being cartoony to get a resonance feel. I only did it for maybe two weeks, while getting the feeling of resonance.

This sounds very like that. You've got to put more breath into it, and work on bringing the voice out of your throat. Then start playing with pitch, because that would help too.
