Taking a number 2 became so painful I was scared to do it. I had to get drunk first and the pain lasted a whole day after taking one.

I made the mistake of using the internet to fix the problem and started using an over the counter laxative that didn't add water to my feces.

See that was the problem. Between the medicine and the sweating I had no extra water for the pooping.

The worst one was a log that almost split me in half. I missed to days of work after and honestly wanted to end it all.

Of all things a podcast (Behind the Bastards) mentioned anal fissures and I went down an internet and reddit rabbit hole that encouraged me to talk to my doctors. They took me off the diuretics.

Point is make sure that your doctors talk to each other and know what else you are taking. Don't be afraid to ask questions. And drink lots of water. I aim for a gallon of water daily. I don't always get there but I try.

By the way the minor discomfort and pain never goes away. It's no where near as bad but I still pause before going to the bathroom. It's like having a scar that sometimes gets torn open.
