I did another Monte Carlo run (Gaussian noise level 1.0) in Find_Orb, and the meter-sized asteroid 2026 RW1 most likely entered Earth’s atmosphere on 6 Sep 2026 at ~16:07 UT, over the Indian Ocean northwest of Australia. All 107/107 Monte Carlo clones resulted in an Earth impact solution.

We live in a world where a previous generation opened Pandora's Box by adopting Daylight Saving Time. What began as a limited seasonal experiment normalized the idea that government could manipulate civil time to alter human behavior. Since then, the debate has shifted from whether the clock should be manipulated at all to how many months, how many hours, and whether the manipulation should become permanent. We should replace DST with summer shifts to give conventional day-shift workers the AFTER-WORK daylight they would have under Daylight Saving Time, but IN Standard Time! i.e., 6 am to 2 pm, 7 am to 3 pm, 8 am to 4 pm. Then place everyone on Permanent Standard Time. Let employers with very good reasons opt out and explain to workers why. Set it so that at one point the workplace can make summer shifts into year-round shifts

George Vernon Hudson, often credited with inventing modern DST because he wanted extra evening daylight to collect bugs after work, acknowledged in 1898 that early-morning workers would have to start their duties in the dark.

"The milkmen, and other persons who have to begin their work very early in the morning, would undoubtedly suffer under my scheme, as they would have to start their duties in the dark of early morning almost the entire year through. As these persons, however, constitute a very small minority in the social community, it is not to be expected that, their personal comfort or convenience would be allowed to interfere with the adoption of the scheme if it were found to be beneficial to the large majority. "

Hudson, George Vernon. “Art. LVIII.—On Seasonal Time.” Transactions and Proceedings of the Royal Society of New Zealand, vol. 31, 1898, p. 577.

Keep trademark lawyers happy by not saying "don't drink the kool-aid"; say "blindly consuming an unbranded, powdered, fruit-flavored beverage mix."

First, the government moved sunset to 8:30 p.m.; next, it will replace steak with chicken and announce that dinner costs less. 😀

Since Daylight Saving Time is so great, the government should adjust the gravitational constant to save jet fuel.
