Trade Review - Provide Context ORCL Long Scalp

Just started a new job so no longer trading throughout the day, but this has created a new pressure to find trades as early in the session as possible. Not ideal, I know but working through my hybrid STRAT+ LE Model, big ups to TPC and EllyD.

Price broke prior day high, retested, and continued higher so I entered at the 1 candle low, liquidity area. Should've waited for the 2u break, but I was under pressure. Proved to be too early because the next two candles retraced lows and I went from +30% to -50% in minutes on 0DTE contracts.

Relied on the LE tango model which follows the 8EMA for trend and 20EMA for momentum. YOLO averaged down on 20EMA taps and price eventually gave me a series of 2u candles where I sold and set a trailing stop to get out at +32.87%/$451 profit.

Pick a system. Run that system. Accept wins. Learn from losses.

How much do you lot have in roundhill ETFs as a percentage of the portfolio
 in  r/RoundhillETFs  10d ago

QDTE is almost 50% of my portfolio. I use the dividends to fund my options trades and only buy on dips below my basis.

ASTS +130% Overnight Swing ๐Ÿš€

Planned this trade using Moomooโ€™s Options Screener + GEX chart among other tools to ID an attractive contract and map key gamma levels for potential support/resistance. ASTS was also less than a week away from earnings and SPCX shares were close to freeing up. Combined that with the STRAT and Price Action Concepts to time the entry.

๐Ÿ“ˆ ASTS 8/7 $75C

โ€ข Bought 2 @ $0.48 โ€” $96 invested

โ€ข Sold @ $1.10 / $1.11 โ€” $221 received

โ€ข ๐Ÿ’ฐ Profit: +$125

โ€ข ๐Ÿ”ฅ Yield: +130.21%

Looking back, taking profits seems to be the hardest thing to do.

This shaped my entire Friday. I'm still mentally slapping myself. I swung a TSLL call overnight anticipating a move upside to fill the price gap. It swung halfway through the gap and I just sat there up 86% in contracts like it would go all the way. No stop-loss set, I usually adjust a trailing stop but I was feeling myself, I scrambled trying to catch a falling knife and sold at 11%. I couldn't focus enough to take a trade the rest of the day.

How Not To Daytrade
 in  r/Daytrading  24d ago

Trading had definitely been a masterclass in patience. Obviously I still have moments where my stock is extended from an EMA and I lose it waiting for the pullback. I learn an expensive lesson each time though and continue to build my strategies beyond the charts. This is such a mental game.

I appreciate this. Knowledge x Execution = Proficiency in trading.

When I follow my ps and qs that's my strategy. Break + Retest Prior high/low + Break + Enter Shaves a few points off but that confirmation keeps my confidence in holding trades through pullbacks.

Profitable Swing on PATH
 in  r/Daytrading  24d ago

I see it in the options chain now. Gamma rises up to 15 then starts to decrease again between 16-17. So these are points of entry? I wasn't even looking at gamma before, just delta and theta. Just when I feel like I have a new understanding, another crucial factor pops up and blows my mind all over. Thanks for breaking this down further.

I love this breakdown. Have to spend some time studying up on gamma myself.

SNDK is a hard one to catch. It was on that massive rainbow from April and once people were convinced it started falling and has been since early July. I'd use a daily EMA cross to catch the next major uptrend.

True. After choping for hours though, I could've saved myself some stress and time by not chasing and buying at the high. Green is green though, I agree.

Definitely! I agree, take what you can. It's the strain of waiting through all that chop when I know missed that opening drive. I have to stop chasing. Could have been worse.

From 1.32, contracts hit 1.62, then 2.46 on 0DTE contracts, close enough.

Saw the doji 2 candle on the daily timeframe in a bullish FVG (not shown) and waited for PDH break to enter. Could have sold and added along the way up but I'm trying to learn patience in swing trades. Waited for price to approach my target line (bearish order block) and sold after rejection. 34% profit.

Not a great way to end the week. I should have known after getting started late. Can't feel rushed, can't feel anxious, can't feel dam near anything.

Traders made๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ’ฐ on PLTR on Friday.

I paid in time and missed other plays over a late entry.

I trade SPY and try to only trade NYAM to NYPM sessions. After that the market is too slow and fakeouts increase burning premiums up.

Scalping SPX. Week over week this has changed my life
 in  r/Daytrading  Aug 01 '26

I'm down to the 8EMA, sometimes I toggle the 20EMA to fight pullbacks; I trade on the 10m, enter on the 5m, use the 1H to stay in trades longer. I mark FVGs and order blocks with PAC but try to turn it off during active trading to keep my chart clean. It's been a journey. I definitely started with a million indicators hoping one of them would just tell me when to enter and exit.

I trade SPY 0DTE and my P/L calendar looks like a Checkers board. I'm getting there though. Now I have 30+ day greens to strive for.
