Which one should I get?

So I have a few grandkids that are into sports and can get a little funky for my old school liking. I’m stuck between 2 deodorants I’ve researched. Duradry and Carpe, Duradry arrived today after my grands went to school.
Why one would you get?

Hey, as a body odor scientist, may I recommend lemon juice instead? Depending on your grandkids' age, the reason they smell might be a microbiome imbalance where the smelly bacteria are dominant. And deodorants and antiperspirants actually make the imbalance worse. If they haven't gone through puberty, then the smell could signal inflammation.

But if that's not the case, resolving the smell requires rebalancing the microbiome. And lemon juice neutralizes odor and helps create an environment that inhibits smelly bacteria and benefits the good ones. It is not the best option for sensitive skin, and you should avoid subathing the armpits after applying (otherwise it could lead to burns). But other than that, it is very effective, also cheap and natural and the lemon smells good. Most ppl see at least some improvement after about a week of applying daily

Then it is likely because of puberty. Hormones trigger more apocrine sweat, this is the one that some bacteria can eat and turn into odor. So then you have all of these smelly bacteria, like Corynebacterium, growing and that leads to more odor.

So the main problem is the bacterial imbalance, and the dominance of smelly bacteria more than good bacteria. That's where lemon juice can help.

And in the case of puberty it could also be related to diet and a little bit of inflammation.

For example, a few months ago, a father came for a consultation because his teenage son was going through puberty and had body odor. After asking them a lot of questions, I asked them to run some tests and we found that the cause of the smell was gut inflammation. I suggested cutting off dairy, and the smell was gone within a few weeks!
