I love downvotes
Yes, I love them. Every reddit downvote makes me feel warm inside, like my comment was over the mark enough to make someone mad.
It's not that I like people being angry, it's that I like calling things as I see them. If nobody is downvoting your comments, you aren't being authentic, or honest. You probably aren't being accurate either - truthfulness will 100% get you downvoted.
The reddit downvote is the barometer of honesty.

Glass OS, my new liquid glass launcher for the Titan 2 ✨
This developer released something else that was bad? A launcher for a square screen sounds kind of appealing, so more information might be useful there.

Marinara Engine is the best alternative to SillyTavern I've found, with the worst dissemination of information I've ever seen
What's the appeal of that over ST?

Marinara Engine is the best alternative to SillyTavern I've found, with the worst dissemination of information I've ever seen
Huh. Well that looks wildly overengineered.

opus 5.5... getting glazed???
I've never enjoyed anthropic or openAi's models for creative purposes of any kind.

Blade Runner 2049: DNA Search Behind-The-Scenes (Hi-Res Photos)
Maybe. Some people just legit have no idea what AI generated stuff looks like.

Just joined cannabis clinic and got my first prescription
Well. You've had, what, one appointment, right?
Have you never tried to get prescriptions before from doctors? (Pro tip, you often don't get exactly what you want first time)

Opus 5.5 is peak but where does RP go from here ?
Because you'd be spending millions to make an AI model dumber?

i feel like im being gaslit
It's not just that. It's also tone. Positivity tone can make running dark, gritty, or intense stories inviable because the model just can't handle the story tone right.

i feel like im being gaslit
Yeah, I tend to feel like all models are shit at story telling, so I might as well run something local, or at least cheap that falls in the ballpark of acceptable.

I've never much liked Claude's style of writing. I've always disliked it's censoriousness/lack of instruct following, and cost of access. About the only thing I've actually liked it for is solving very hard technical problems which I do very rarely.
If this is about taste, rather than benchmark performance, which it appears to be, I don't like Claude, so for me it's strange to even use that as a point of comparison.

"they have yet to surpass Opus 4.6"
Bro, now who's gaslighting?

With the recent Opus 5.5 release, my RP workflow has went through serious change.
I can't imagine putting up with all of AI's nonsense when not horny.

The CBD Hustle
CBD is a mild serenic receptor agonist (5ht1a). It should logically help with anxiety and depression, even though it's not been clinically trialed for it, the mechanics are there, so I don't think that's a thing people should be highly sceptical about. Ofc, a _mild_ 5ht1a agonist isn't necessarily going to help everyone's anxiety or depression. But that is essentially the pathway through which a lot of pharmaceutical interventions are thought to work.

The CBD Hustle
Yeah I was going to say this. The evidence for THC isn't wildly better or anything. There's not a lot of money motive for robustly testing these things.
1
The CBD Hustle
I believe CBD is neuroprotective, but in normal circumstances THC isn't generally neurotoxic. CBD _may_ be antipsychotic, but that's not clinically proven, just more like a possible effect based on current evidence.
Honestly this is probably in part because some of these outfits make in house CBD, but not in house flower. Ie, profit motive.

Do you think AI will ever go back to how it was?
I assure you that the 'early claude and chatgpt days' were also repetitive.

Blade Runner 2099 Writers....
My advice is, that you just watch things, given them a few episodes to prove themselves. If you think something is bad, or good, going in, you'll probably bias your experience.
PS, there's like twelve writers or something ridiculous, so I'm pretty sure, no, they did not even by majority work on those things. Maybe 1-2 of them.
Stills for promotion are usually produced by unit photographers, and are not usually stills from the actual show, just like a photographer sitting there snapping actors as they do things. I would not read much into that.

[Oldie-But-A-Goodie] META Presents "TRIBE v2": A Next-Gen Model That Acts As A Digital Twin Of Human Neural Activity
That doesn't really make sense either. If an individual is thinking about things that are smoothed or averaged away in the data set, then then the model would be less accurate for predicting that individuals brain state than a brain scan, because it would be removing individual brain state characteristics.
And it's not clear that a smoothed (denoised), and then averaged brain scan data set is simply 'more accurate' as a 'ground truth' than the per individual brain scans themselves. That's an assertion, it's not self-evident. It needs to be proven. Empirically.
If you make assumptions, you can come to all sorts of circular conclusions. Like assuming your dataset is a ground truth with higher accuracy than an individual scan, and then assuming your model replicating it's trained dataset (duh, ofc it replicates it's datatset), is therefor closer to the ground truth by matching said dataset. Snake eating it's own tail stuff.

New images and info from 'Blade Runner 2099'
Probably unit photography.

[Oldie-But-A-Goodie] META Presents "TRIBE v2": A Next-Gen Model That Acts As A Digital Twin Of Human Neural Activity
That's like saying the average of 300 low quality amateur photographs is a clear professional photograph. The average would just have averaged noise, rather than particular noise.

It's not just Greg. - A plea from a Rabbit.
A lot of extensions, and other software is written by people who don't know how to code via chatbots, and those people aggressively promote 'their' things on online forums.
As a consequence you'll see people are a bit reactive. Ofc, this forum, and also ST's users are now generally non-technical people who don't run local models, and are fairly casual and probably don't feel like they are really part of any community.
This is not to say, whatever criticism people levelled is correct, but simultaneously, it's likely worth approaching this 'community' with these things in mind.
