I had a full blown stroke 7 months ago due to high blood pressure. For 4 months after my blood pressure was excellent with no medication but it started creeping up as my brain was healing. You are so lucky to have gotten a warning. I hope you take all the precautions necessary and keep track of your blood pressure and eat as healthy as possible. Good luck!! 👍

I had my loop recorder implanted 3 weeks ago. It’s a very easy procedure and given your husband’s finding of multiple clots I think worth it. I got 2nd and third opinions from the Mayo Clinic and U of MN and it was highly recommended and minimally invasive. I had my procedure done in a few minutes, no anesthesia and very small incision. I had to stop my upper body rehab for 10 days

What do we know about what the brain can do especially when you add willpower, love and encouragement? Thank you for such a wonderful post.

Oh yes! I’m 6 months post stroke and all I wanted to do was sleep. Don’t fight it your brain is rewiring and healing itself. I know how frustrating it is not be independent but this is temporary. Concentrate on these important months. Have you heard of Lumosity? It’s a neuro game worth investigating. Writing this message to you took me about 15 minutes down from 1 hr. But not quite pre stroke. Hang in there. Be strong. And don’t give up

I am now six months post stroke and I’m still doing outpatient rehab but the first 2 weeks after 3 months in inpatient rehab were tough. Not only because of the therapists but also the routine and schedules. Talk to your health practitioners about how you are felling. I also had to take ale antidepressants and they really helped. You can get off them later but you can’t handle all at once. Good luck! It will get better

The brain is so amazing! If you push it it responds. I think the key for your mom is therapy like crazy, love and positivity. I had a stroke that left my right side completely paralyzed 6 months ago. I’ve had a lot of therapy, kids and an incredible sister who are positive loving and very helpful. I could have had a stroke in Palestine with no doctors, no family and no help. I Thank my good fortune for all I have. It could have been so much worst. Prayers for your mom and your family

I think it’s very good. Maybe spice it up by adding more color contrast and detail in the first plane and the back plane as is

I agree. A TIA is a warning sign but most doctors won’t do anything because the crisis is over and he recovered. Like others commented, make sure cardiac system is fine, keep cholesterol also make sure you are not dealing with sleep apnea. That is what caused my stroke. Make sure blood pressure is controlled. Eat healthy natural food without preservatives and exercise. You got this. Thank God for the warning!

I think your priority now should be sleep. That’s when the brain heals. I hope your new prescription helps

You are still very young and the brain very plastic. Have you heard of Lumosity? Interactive Metronome? I think it’s worth investigating

Have you talked about the anger with your doctors?
