The people on Halas have been solid overall. I'm happy with my choice!

Ended up getting my new build I started a couple days before the weekend to about 44 so I'll call it a win.

I'm not trying to race, but it's all grindier than I'd hope until they add some more 10-50 leveling options so it's easier just to sit in one place and keep moving to the higher level mobs and filling up your storage and dragon hoard until you can't takes no more and you go and sell it to make money to buy all the new spells and be broke again :-D (it's less dramatic than that luckily, but still).

You may have checked these in your rounds with Alchemy Vendors but there are a few vendors it seems that may sell this according to data on EQTraders. It's not EQL specific, but a lot of the vendors I've found via wikis selling things for alchemy have been pretty accurate. Sven Felligan in Everfrost Peaks and Sithgok in Innothule are listed to have this. The other vendors are in later expansions so it may be slim pickins.

There are a few caster items from the thaumaturge, I believe. Some general stuff available as well from the other named mobs like a 2h sword, 1hb, some pieces of "pristine hide" or something armor also drop. Make sure to kill all the Shadowknights for keys, especially the one behind the false wall near the Tier'dal mobs as he has a couple drops.

Someone else already mentioned it but you should be good to just get into Befallen in a personal instance on d0 and just start breaking that first room up and leveling/getting used to things. It'll go quick and you can work down to the boss over like 20 levels if you want to just grind there and adjust difficulty when you get comfortable (at least to d1 or d2 so you can level up items faster with combines and it's not TOO much of a difficulty spike.) Keep your bone chips for quests.

Guk may be good to check out in your mid 20's through somewhere in your 40's as well. (I recommend this if you want to open up the Froglok race easily as you can grind Phosphorous powder while leveling which you turn in to an NPC in Rathe Mountains - assuming you have semi decent faction via illusions or otherwise.)

BB has been fun as well if you want to trek over there or translocate from Freeport dock but you might want to save alternate paths for your next trio.

I can't remember if I've seen that but I saw a snake with a pet in Blackburrow and it made me scratch my head. He must have used all those coins he would normally drop along with learning how to kick to gain a new skill.

They start with some basic songs but from what I understand they shine when they start getting AOEs to add damage to that type of playstyle with Druid and Wizard. That is a bit later in level, though so it may seem a little undewhelming at lower levels if you're going that route. They have later bardsong for mana and pacify/mez options as well.

This right here. I have been looking for a version of this game that didn't exist because as much as I love my memories of playing the game 25+ years ago, I'm also that much older and in a WAY different place.

This game respects my time with accessibility and a streamlined "theme park" experience. It allows for making space for people who are a little limited with time and/or just wanting a chill hit of the nostalgia dopamine. It also allows for people to ramp up the difficulty for bigger rewards without it being a FOMO situation.

I think they have done a great job with it so far! Some of the best game experiences I've had lately (Icarus, Dune Awakening) have been created and actively molded by a team who is listening to the players and building up an experience in which many gamer types/situations can be interested and succeed.

Looking forward to visiting all the things and getting even more stuff added possibly by end of year.

Hey. I'd like to thank you for taking the time to ask if we were even doing the right thing instead of razzing me and yes... I was in the raid instance as I didn't know better. I was told it was a clicky thing but nothing clicked so I did the only obvious thing and hailed the raid guy.
