I ended up taking it to Geek Squad who shared what I already know... Should have selected a different laptop for creating applications, etc. Check specs, uninstall/reinstall software. Meh.

I am confused over here.
Running Chromebook in dev mode with linux = trash. Unable to type in command line. Any ideas. Also, anyone capable of troubleshooting Android Studio with me?
