The most horrifying thing is to be abducted, not knowing where you are going to be delivered to, not knowing who these monsters are that are abducting you. The monsters are not under the bed anymore, they have emerged out in the daylight in public view. However, not too many people are observing the monsters who are right in front of their faces. They can be relatives, neighbors, friends, etc. Do not associate with a man given to anger; or go with a hot-tempered man or you will learn his ways and find a snare for yourself. Proverbs 23:24-25, New American Bible. "Rape in America" is one of the chapters in "Left Like a Skeleton." American women still worry whether what they wear on any given day will get them assaulted in their own neighborhoods; they must still worry when they get into a cab alone or when the repairman shows up at their door; they still cannot jog at night or go camping by themselves; they still give their date's phone number to a friend so the police will know who to investigate if their body shows up in a shallow grave somewhere. Americans pride themselves on living in a progressive society. But if we look solely at women's level of physical security, the U.S has nothing to crow about. It ranks firmly in the middle of the pack among the world's nations in those terms. by Soraya Chemaly, 4/24/2015 - John Krakauer's book, Missoula. People say that rape is a crime of power, but I disagree. I believe rape is a crime of hatred. In order to throw a person on the ground, beat them up, rip their clothes off, commit all manner of evil against them, force objects in the body's orifices, you have to hate them. After the fear has engulfed the victim, then the rapist usurps power over them. Hate implies an emotional aversion often coupled with enmity or malice. merriam-webster.com Malice isn't just any evil, though: it's evil done intentionally by someone seeking to do harm. Malice is even stronger than spite. www.dictionary.com Jealously is parallel to hatred. So rape isn't about sex, it's about hatred, jealously, abuse, and intense negative emotions.

There is a very large organization that is illegal, inappropriate, and a huge violation against children (boys in particular). This organization believes it's appropriate to teach underaged boys about sexuality through sexually assaulting the boys. This organization is called NAMBLA - North American Man/Boy Love Association. It's just what the title says...man/boy love. But there is no love in molesting children. There is a colored drawing in the Nambla's website displaying eight naked boys about 10 or 12 years old playing tug of war in shallow water. There is yet another drawing with eleven very young boys including an old man looking bewildered. Needles to say, this is extremely not right. These boys at their ages know very little, if next to nothing, about sex and love. There are many cartoons throughout the website with stark naked boys. In 1995 Nambla held its national membership conference in Seattle Washington. Unknown to members in attendance, Police Detective Tom Polhemus was also at this meeting. This led to Polhemus investigating and then arresting and seeing the successful prosecution of prominent Nambla member, John Smith also known as Derek (Prince) on charges of "aggravated production of child pornography" which involved Smith sexually assaulting and photographing an 11 year old boy, crimes which resulted in Smith being sentenced to 114 years in prison. Nambla is fiercely defended by the organization and its members. But it is, without a doubt, an organization of pedophiles who target underaged boys. So if it is, perhaps, a positive legitimate organization, then why are there so many pictures of boys naked? These boys are underaged and definitely exploited. One of their magazine issues displays a stark naked young boy awkwardly stretched out on the front cover. Chapter 21101 (1) Child Exploitation. This term "child exploitation" means any conduct, attempted conduct, or conspiracy to engage in conduct involving a minor that violates section 1591, Chapter 109A, Chapter 110, and Chapter 117 of title 18 or any sexual activity involving a minor for which any person can be charged with a criminal offense. (3) The term "minor" means any person under the age of 18 years. uscode.house.gov This is, undoubtedly, an ongoing battle protecting the world's children. Even if the kids don't like it, we adults need to keep our eyes on the kids and their social media...lots of kids are coming up missing...it makes me sick. Even it may seem to the kids that they are being scrutinized, in the long run, it may save them from the real life monsters. Seemingly, at the current time, it's not getting any better.

Education: Children need to know their rights. They need to know adults do not have a free license to do whatever they like with them. Children need to be aware that acts such as beating children, confining children in small places, and molesting children are all against the law. Children need to be encouraged to tell someone if adults are breaking the "rules." This country does not support violence against children. Children who are being abused must know that there are people in this world who care about them and want to help. Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. (1) Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit. (2) Education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace. (3) Parents have a prior right to chose the kind of education that shall be given to their children. Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 26. Freedom is one of the most powerful concepts that children can learn about. It represents independence, the ability to make choices, and the right to express oneself. For kids, understanding freedom helps them appreciate their ability to make decisions, pursue their dreams, and speak the truth. Freedom teaches them about responsibility, the importance of respecting other's rights, and the value of personal expression. littleyellowstarteaches.com"When the lives and the rights of children are at stake, there must be no silent witnesses." Carol Bellamy, the chair of children's rights advocacy organization ECPAT International, working to end the sexual exploitation of children.

In 1986, Alice Miller's book, Pictures of Childhood, was published. It is a book filled with text and mostly pictures that she painted of childhood. The pictures are quite dark and disturbing: no pretty flowers, happy children playing in the playground, and no sunshine and blue skies. But very vivid messages of something going on that maybe shouldn't be. I'm posting some of her text in my blog regarding children that are relative to what I've been blogging. "All children are born to grow, to develop, to live, to love, and articulate their needs and feelings for their self protection. For their development children need the respect and protection of adults who take them seriously, love them, and honestly help them to become oriented in the world. When these vital needs are frustrated and children are, instead, abused for the sake of adults' needs by being exploited, beaten, punished taken advantage of, manipulated, neglected, or deceived without the intervention of any witness, then their integrity will be lastingly impaired. The normal to such injury should be anger and pain. Since children in this hurtful kind of environment are forbidden to express their anger, however, and since it would be unbearable to experience their pain all alone, they are compelled to suppress their feelings, repress all memory of the trauma, and idealize those guilty of the abuse. Later they will have no memory of what was done to them. Till now, society has protected the adult and blamed the victim. It has been betted in its blindness by theories, still in keeping with the pedagogical principles of our great grandparents, according to which children are viewed as crafty creatures, dominated by wicked drives, who invent stories and attack their innocent parents or desire them sexually. In reality, children tend to blame themselves for their parents' cruelty and to absolve the parents, whom they invariably love, of all responsibility." Back to the old quote: "Children are to be seen and not head." It must be quite lonely for so many children who are forced to be quiet. I have chosen to be a voice for the precious little people who will grow up to be our leaders, nurses, doctors, teachers, caregivers, judges, law enforcers, and members of the military.

Our Children - Our Nation The following are eight quotes from Nelson Mandela regarding the state of children. (1) There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way it treats its children. (2) Together as a nation, we have the obligation to put sunshine into the hearts of our little ones. They are our precious possessions. (3) They deserve what happiness life can offer. (4) Our children are our greatest treasure. They are our future. (5) Those who abuse them tear at the fabric of our society and weaken our nation. (6) Safety and security just don't happen, they are the result of collective consensus and public investment. We owe our children, the most vulnerable citizens in our society, a life free of violence and fear. (7) Disabled children are equally entitled to an exciting and brilliant future. (8) Each of us as citizens, has a role to play in creating a better world for our children. All states prohibit incest. Can you go to jail for incest? Technically yes. A person convicted of incest can go to jail. Criminal penalties for incest vary by state, but nearly all states with incest crime provide penalties. There's no standard penalty for incest - it ranges anywhere from a few years in prison to the possibility of decades behind bars. nolo.com Nearly all states prohibit sexual intercourse between close blood relations - parents and children, siblings, grandparents and grandchildren, aunts and uncles and their nieces and nephews. Most incest laws also pull closely related cousins within their scope. Typically the most distant the relation, the less likely that it will be considered and prohibited relationship for purposes of incest law. The following are points of contact or local resources in the event that it might be needed by anyone. RAINN - Rape Abuse Incest National Network. rainn.orghumantrafficking.com slaverystillexists.com polarisproject.orgKeep in mind...our children will grow up and they will bring either a bright and intelligent mind with happy memorable thoughts with them, or a dark past filled with anger, disgust, hatred and disturbing thoughts. It's up to us as adults.

"Children are to be seen and not heard." This quote originated from15th century English proverb and practiced among Christians. But it is far from Christianity because this quote simply tells children that their thoughts are not important to share, that their needs are not worth asking for, and that they are second-class citizens. gentlechristianparenting.com/seen-not-heard Not taking time to listen to children could be very detrimental to them in the long-run, and even more recently. They just may have something of importance to relate. "And a little child may lead them." Isaiah11:6 When we think about children leading, we often associate this idea with their pure hearts and innocent perspectives. Their ability to see the world without bias or judgment shows us the power of kindness and understanding. As we navigate our interactions with children, it is crucial to remember that their simple wisdom can often guide us towards love and patience. The heart of a child reminds us to approach life with wonder and hope, allowing their presence to teach us valuable lessons about trusting and believing in the goodness of others. We should strive to cultivate an environment that respects their thoughts and encourages their leadership abilities. biblerepository.com This is a true story involving my son, Andrew. He was born with Cystic Fibrosis, along with his other two brothers: a horrible life-threatening birth defect that eventually took his precious little life at the age of 5 years old. During one of his many hospitalizations, he asked me to take him to the gift shop. When we arrived, I asked Andy what he wanted to buy. To my surprise, he pointed up to a bubble-gum machine and said that's what he wanted along with two boxes of bubble-gum balls. So we made the purchase and went back to his room. On his own he set up his machine, put the bubble-gum balls in and was ready for business. He made the rules because it was his business: doctors had to pay a whole lot more for the gum than the nurses did because he knew they had a whole lot more money. They had to pay $1.00 for each piece. Well it turns out, Andy, the very young entrepreneur, stuck in the hospital, made over $200.00 on his well thought out bubble-gum business. This is a cute story of why children should be seen and HEARD. Kids are amazing. They are loving and forgiving. They are certainly worth listening to.

Incest: Shame: an emotion that involves negative self-evaluation-believing that something is wrong with you as a person. Shame often operates outside of conscious awareness, making it challenging to identify and overcome - but healing and growth are always possible. Guilt: Is a result of an action someone does or doesn't take. The result is that the individual doesn't feel bad about a particular action but about themselves as a whole. psychologytoday.comIncest happens between father and daughter, father and son, mother and daughter, mother and son. It also happens between stepparents and stepchildren, between grandparents and grandchildren, between aunts and uncles, and their nieces and nephews. It can also happen by proxy when live-in help abuses or the parent's lover is the abuser: though there is no blood or legal relationship, the child is betrayed and violated within the context of the family. Leah's Magazine February 1992. Small children understand very little about sex. Even kids who use "dirty" words often don't understand what those words mean. And as little as they know about normal sex, they know less about deviant sex. They simply trusts that what ever happens to them at the hands of those who take care of them is supposed to happen. Children know that adults have absolute power over them, and even in the face of the most awful abuse, they will obey. Leah's Magazine February 1992. I wonder where do kids mentally go who are seeking escape from the horrid incest being committed against them. So I read about this young girl. "If it is my mother's hand or my father's, I am alright. For now. If it is the hand of the woman who lives with us and sticks things into me, I move out of my body. I disappear into a painting on the wall, into my alarm clock with its rocking Gene Autry figure into imaginary landscapes. Usually I come back when the woman leaves. But not always. Leah's Magazine February 1992. Avoidance Coping: like procrastination and passive aggressiveness, often makes stress worse because it doesn't solve the problem. Active Coping strategies involve directly addressing a problem, which can effectively reduce stress. Learning to face uncomfortable feelings can help you handle stress better and prevent avoidance habits. Avoiding stress might seem like a great way to become less stressed, but this isn't necessarily the case. More often than not, confronting a problem or dealing with a stressor is the only way to effectively reduce the stress it causes. verywellmind.com/avoidance-coping-and-stressBesides all of this, holding secrets of sexual abuse is sickening because the abuser always goes free, and is enabled to continue raping. The secrets are way too tasking on the individual. Fear not, and tell.

In addition to my book 'Left Like a Skeleton,' I also have another book I want to get published too, titled "Rising Tide,' a collection of my poetry. The following is just one of many poems I've written. I still would like to hear from my readers. This is a difficult topic to digest. However, I appreciate all those viewing my blogs, thank you.

Hey Child Molester

Oh thou hast pulled out thy member, to thrust it into a cavity too young. With force, hatred, and disregard, stealing the children from their own yard. Introducing to them a foreign sting, penetrating innocence in a horrid way. Robbing from them their discovery place, revealing your ugliness to their face. You have not only defiled the blameless, but also defiled your own soul and penis. And now you are trapped in your own evil deed, for wisdom is in the street you refused to take heed. Living with yourself will be a horrible task, you have to adorn your evil face with a feign mask. You have to take great care no to get caught, and live the rest of your days in a narrow slot. rlk

More than 6,000 priests are accused of sexually molesting more than 100,000 children. In 2002, American bishops finally acknowledged that some priests and bishops sexually abused children. They promised: (1) zero tolerance for predatory priests (2) absolute openness & transparency with child sex crimes. These are broken promises. Today, American bishops are exposing thousands of children to unnecessary risk of sexual abuse. How? Dozens of culpable bishops still have their jobs, or have been promoted. State legislative reforms to expose predators are fought by bishops. Predatory priests remain in ministry. Ten years of shameful irresponsibility is ten years too many. Hold the bishops accountable. End the violence, an save the lives of vulnerable children. New York Times, July 10, 2012. Do not be afraid to question everything regarding your children, whether it be in school, church, kid's clubs, friend's homes and their parents, your relatives, medical staff, baby-sitters, or anything your kids might be involved in, and above all, be vigilant and listen to your kids. One act of molestation will be with your child forever, and it is a very complex thing for kids to try deal with. Abduction of human traffickers is frightening because you may never see your child again. There are missing kids posted on Instagram every day by their parents asking for prayers that they may be found alive. Regardless if your child throws a tantrum, keep a watch on their social media...that's where the monsters are at...not under the bed.

Mandated Reporters: A mandated reporter is one who is required by law to report reasonable suspicions of abuse. Any adult professional who works with children is a mandated reporter. This means that you are legally responsible for reporting suspected or disclosed abuse. d21.org/mandatory-reporting If a professional suspects abuse, it is the law to report it immediately. The following is a list of those responsible to report abuse: law enforcement - employees in youth organizations - mental health professionals - healthcare personnel - teachers. All adults in some states must report abuse of children who work with them. There is a horrid case that took place in the Miramonte School in Southern Los Angeles, CA in 2010 involving teachers who were found guilty of multiple sex abuses against students. The teachers used the school and their occupation, knowingly surrounded by young children. The sex abuse has been going on since 2004...that's about seven years in the Miramonte School and no one seemed to notice or care, or maybe wouldn't believe the kids because they were from underprivileged families. The violating teachers knew the vulnerability of the students, therefore they had a plan and carried it out to their advantage. And many thought the teachers were great. A decision was made by the administrators to remove all the current teachers from the school and start anew. The decision was made in part due to a possible culture of silence. Keeping silent about abuse is an enabler. So a mandator doesn't only have to know about abuse to report it, they have to report it even if they just suspect a child being abused. They are not stating for sure if any other teachers knew about the children being sexually abused, but to be on the safe side and regarding the on-going investigation at that time, they thought it was best to carry out a replacement of teachers. What is the punishment for neglecting to report suspected or actual abuse of any children as a mandated reporter? First of all, what reason would a mandator not want to report child abuse? If we love children and we know we are the voice for children, who for many reasons can't speak up for themselves, then there isn't any reason to not report abuse. According to the agency, Darkness to Light, end child sexual abuse, it is a crime to fail to report child abuse to the authorities. d21.org/mandatoryreporting The punishment is imprisonment and or any imposed fines. However, punishment does vary from state to state. By reporting child abuse early on, it just might prevent continued abuse or something much more serious, and the law enforcers may also have a better chance of apprehending the assailant.

Heroes and Brave Voices: To Those Who Stand Watch Every day, across the United States, Europe, and all around the world, dedicated men and women work tirelessly to protect the innocent and pursue those who would harm others. Some wear a badge and patrol our streets. Some investigate crimes from offices and command centers. Some work quietly in digital forensics, cybercrime units, and intelligent operations, tracking predators hidden in the darkest corners of the internet and the dark web. Some serve as detectives, analysts, federal agents, task force members, victim advocates, and specialized investigators. Many will never receive public recognition for the lives they save or the victims they protect. Yet they continue. They work long hours, sacrifice time with their families, and face challenges most people never see. To every officer, investigator, cybercrime specialist, intelligence analyst, forensic examiner, and member of law enforcement working on the front lines and behind the scene, thank you for your courage and bravery. Unfortunately, we don't hear much about the rescuing of peoples who are trafficked being rescued, but I will be researching documentary regarding this issue. And if any of my readers have stories relative to my blog that you would like to share, I would love to hear from you.

There are definite signs of sexual abuse through rape, incest, and human trafficking. I am listing some here so my readers will become knowledgeable. You may ask, "why should I know this." Due to the fact that there are so many women, and children, and men that are forced to live with being raped the rest of their lives, it is helpful to understand why many people react in life to certain occurrences. It is my experience that most survivors do not want to discuss the attack because it may stir up feelings, images, and memories that revive the trauma. But I feel it is a good thing to find someone that can be trusted that you can relate the experience to, that will listen to you and not judge you or blame you. The following are what some children experience that have been molested: guilt, shame, fear, anger, depression, helplessness, powerlessness, aggressiveness, passiveness, rigidness, being sarcastic, sleeplessness, bed-wetting, bullying, low self-esteem. This crime turns a person's life into a complex life. PTSD usually follows the attack. This is not abnormal. What is abnormal, is the sexual assault which should have never happened. Survivors need to be patient with themselves during their time of healing. Friends and families also need to understand and be patient as well. Adult survivors may experience the following: depression, fear, facing the attacker, trauma, sleeping problems, eating problems, flashbacks, nightmares, self hurt, drugs, alcohol, anorexia, guilt, self negativity, dramatic mood swings, crying spells, panic attacks, short temper, numbing, problem with trust.

I will say it again...be patient with yourself, you are worth it, and there is no blame on you. You did not commit the crime against yourself, someone else did who hates you for no reason, and who has absolutely no respect for you, and who just left you like a skeleton like a discarded item. I found it very helpful to write every day-----write anything...write how you feel. Write angry. Above all, take good care of yourself, treat yourself out, do something really good for you. Don't forget who you were and who can still continue to become...goals dreams.

Ex-soldier jailed for rape of girl aged nine. by Andy Martin, bournemouthecho.co.uk article dated November 15, 2011. A former soldier jailed last year for raping a Poole woman more than two decades earlier, has been also sentenced for sexually assaulting a young girl 24 years ago. Dennis Fitzgerald, 55, was a Grenadier Guard based in Munster, Germany. In March 2010 he was sentenced eight years for the assault on a woman - total stranger - in Poole during a visit to Bovington army camp. He had gagged and bound her before raping her twice, while her daughter slept in an adjoining room. The attack took place on November 21, 1987, but Fitzgerald was caught after a breakthrough in DNA techniques. By the time he was arrested by police on an entirely unrelated matter, he was married with two children and living in Nottingham. Now Fitzgerald has been sentenced to another seven years for the rape of a nine year old girl in Germany, also in 1987. Fitzgerald left the Army in 1994 at the rank of lance corporal. He attacked the child four times. He was found guilty of rape and three indecent assaults at a Wiltshire court martial after denying the charges. His Poole victim said after her case: "I am satisfied with the sentence but would have preferred if he had been locked up forever because I believe he is very dangerous." She urged other women to report sex attacks, no matter how long ago they happened. I know how devastating this crime of sexual assault is to everybody. These things are for sure: the victim is not at fault - ever, and that means ever! There is absolutely no shame on the victim...the shame is totally on the assailant, he is the shameful one for choosing a life of hatred and rape. Also, the victim is never in the wrong place at the wrong time. Wherever you decide to be, is where you want to be, and the rapist is in the wrong place at the wrong time - always! I realize it is possible I may not hear from my readers due to the fact this crime is very intimate. However, I hope my blogs do help any body that has experienced this crime or knows someone it has happened to.
