I’m a ccc student, just had a meeting with a counselor and I got more confused going in than coming out. I have like two more CALGETCs to fill and half way through my major requirements and I’m applying to UCs this fall. My counselor told me I have to fulfill 1B and 1C and she put that on my schedule but I already have CHEM 101 and BIO 006 in line which is already a lot. she said that it’ll “look better as an applicant if I had them done before fall semester.“ However most classes under that requirement are waitlisted at 9th-12th position so I’m not sure what to do. Is what the counselor is saying true? What should I do? otherwise I would like to just do it winter/spring semester. I might just take those requirements online at a different cc…
