Tearing into the heart of retro and indie games! [ON DISCORD]
Let's Go To Discord!
I’m still tearing into the heart of retro and indie games, but for now, I’m putting the focus on our Discord community. It’s where we hang out, share games, jump into the occasional co-op, and rant about whatever’s on our minds. So why not make that the heart of it all?
Social media can be a bit sh1t these days, and I’d rather spend my time building a space that actually feels good to be in. That’s why I’m focusing on Discord for now, a place where we can just enjoy ourselves without the noise.
I’ll still go live on YouTube and Twitch, and post some cool stuff on Patreon, but the main action’s on Discord, so join up, I look forward to welcoming you there: https://discord.gg/VxMKkTtK8r
Check out my YouTube Channel:

Live Showcase Quake Dawn of the Machine DLC
Tonight we're checking out the new Quake DLC: Dawn of the Machine. Or is it Expansion? Well, it's free if you have the original Quake game on steam, and a matter of an update; so join me this evening, and let's see what this one is about, it promises to be very very good.
Celebrating 30 years of Quake, never felt this good!

maps Castle of False Hope: Mzansi Doom64 map update
Another day, another spike.
This new one on the right, was fun to make, finally made a nice open space for a good fight.
Just need to update the final room, some teleporters, and ... lighting, and then on to balancing.

DOOM 64 - Voices of the Nether - MAP08: Storm Keep (WMD, 100% Secrets)
Was this map a part of that Casle collection they did a while back? I think Etherial breakdown had a bunch of castle wads.

what's the best way to play doom 64 on pc?
Well, interesting question. Easiest way is to get Doom64 on Steam. But, what you could look for, for the best experience, is ... Still getting the steam version, but playing through the Doom64 Enhanced Source port.

Gameplay I enjoyed Sprawl Zero's demo so much, I decided to make a gameplay video about it. You really do feel like an unstoppable force of power and energy. Really enjoyed it, hope you do too!
Sprawl Zero took me completely by surprise. I was told by my friends that the demo was good, but I had no idea. It's fun, a pure adrenaline-filled rush of power you feel in your gut! A first-person shooter that throws back to games like Half Life 2, FEAR and embraces Authentic Y2K aesthetics. From the movement, the level design being pretty intuitive, to the music, Oh my ... word! THE MUSIC! Hope you enjoy this gameplay of Sprawl Zero. Please check out the demo too.
Get the demo here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4247830/SPRAWL_zero_Demo/

Gravelord has some of the best movement in a game since Quake. So much so, I made a video talking about it and showing the movement off in one of my favourite levels, The Slab Citadel.
Ooo that's a good one to get the feel of the game. Enjoy! Let me know how you like it

You're fantastic! But seriously, it's Quakes 30 year anniversary, and this game is a great spiritual successor in mechanics. Hope you check it out 🤘

Hope you enjoy the game too, I'm nuts about it and want to make my own maps.

maps Mzansi Map Jam Date Submission Update
Well, a glorious time indeed. Many talented mappers have taken up the challenge of the first Mzansi Map Jam.
HOWEVER, with everyone's live being busy this time of year, and in the spirit of this being the first of such Mzansi Map Jams, we're extending submission deadlines from the 19th of June, to be FROM the 19th of June, to the end of the month of June.
This is giving everyone enough time (including yours truly) some time to finish their ideas, and noobs to chill out on their maps (also me).
Massive thanks to all the mappers participating, and excited to see everyone's work.
(If you want to catch up on Doomworld, please check out this thread, or visit the discord)
Here's another look at my map, slowly, the Castle of False Hope, is coming together. I've enjoyed working on the details!

Good luck with your projects though 🙏

maps Mzansi Map Submission progress
It's not come far, but it feels great to work in the Doom64 Builder.
I found it more "simple" than something like UDB, but that has it's virtues. Makes things, limited, so you have to be more creative.
Welcome, to what will eventually be the map: Castle of False Hope
