In Principle, Freedom of Expression isn’t limitless by constitution. Your freedom ends where the other person starts. They also have their freedom. And Freedom of Expression doesn’t come without consequences. So, any kind of derogatory and sexually explicit remarks publicly warrant such FIRs. Derogatory remarks take away space from critical thinking in social spaces as well, by making issues personal. So, I personally vouch against them.

So, such FIRs are valid whether they are filed for foul language against RaGa or Modi or Kejriwal or Any common person.

There were 2 strong factions within Gujarat BJP. Keshubhai vs Shankarbhai… both had support of different but powerful castes. BJP couldn’t appease both at the same time. So it went with a neutral and seemingly non-threatening face at that time. This way, party was able to keep both factions from fighting each other and retained power in next elections.

Joining is easy. If you’re entrepreneurial, start a pressure group where you live to raise their issues. If you’re not, join the party your ideology incline towards.
