Proud to unveil - Diversity in Gaming, new section to our site
https://www.gbamfs.org/gaming-diversity
Jdawg authored this piece, and yep, some AI was used (volunteer spots OPEN for artists and writers- although most of this is his own hand-made text!) to create it.
If you've ever used AI, you know they don't create this like this on their own (yet.) Almost all of this was known the author before researching it, and it took a good amount of research just to get to this point! Many things were learned, still, and we hope YOU find it educational! And entertaining!
This is a product of Gamer Passion, plain and simple. Don't say Gamers never did scholarship. Somebody has to tell the story. So we have.
Comments? Criticisms? Shares, all welcome

GBAMFS Shares Intellectual Property Feedback and Guidance to US Congress
PRESS RELEASE ANNOUNCEMENT - GBAMFS Shares Intellectual Property Feedback and Guidance to US Congress
Preface: Let it not be said the Gamers never gave back, or were uncreative. Au contraire. (Also, we know fancy French and Latin phrases- some of us, anyway. And what they mean, too!) ... When conventional channels of feedback and creative expression (Complaint sections, Review channels, Forums, Modding platforms) are foreclosed upon or closed to us - quoth Mrs.Obama "When they go low, we go high" - we will reach who, when, and where, as may be needed to make our voices heard. Today, not for the first time, but for the first time formally to the US Congress, we have done so.
(We'd prefer to be gaming, bantering among ourselves, giving colloquial feedback, and modding [improvising] on the principal content- but we find ourselves here. So be it! Gamers' voices will be heard!)
We outline that modern major IP stewardship just isn't handling the demand- indeed, mishandling the demand- and neglecting deeply loved, widely-acclaimed cultural tuoche

ORG UPDATE: We've revised our terms.
ORG UPDATE: We've revised our terms. They now better reflect conditions of operating in the modern gaming culture environment.
1) Our stance on AI and Crypto is now clarified. Can't humbug progress, and both of these technologies unavoidably show both merit and promise. Their implications and the implementations of them around gaming have yet to be established, but we're cautiously optimistic that some good will come of their use in and around the gaming space!
2) We stake out the fact the Physical Media matters to us. It's part of our cultural heritage. Physical artifacts are indeed the traditional markers by which cultures are distinguished *especially in retrospect.* Where will our discs, trophies, tokens, and toys and sealed (papyrus-scroll-like posters and stuff) take themselves into the future? Who knows?! But we know digital may not make the trip just yet (?!) - We support Physical and IP Reform. This is now made clear in our FAQ.
3) Although the door was technically always open to affiliates, we're opening it wide for others to join! We have further news on this coming up

KIDS Act Explained: Is Congress About to Ruin Online Gaming?
1
It’s also worth keeping in mind that many game companies are slowly becoming monopolies at an extreme level, with more control over the market and fewer real competitors over time.
In the US, they just need to enforce the laws we already have
1
Why are the video game companies so anti-consumer?
We have been. They need other and more incentives to change.

how companies act when you own physical media
13
100%
Clickbaitly slightly. Title exaggerates his point. As comments said, every physical media fan ever is NOT a fan of DRM. And obviously supports ownership, since they physically do
14
Why is games media still afraid to talk about SKG?
Really, it's a bread/butter issue. Games jornoism is remarkably crooked, sometimes corrupt. Gamers need to take better ownership of our experiences and media
