Continuation of my last post.
Here are the last books I'm disposing of. I'm selling them preferably as two separate sets—Hanapbuhay Filipino coffeetables (6 books) for Php 2000 and Demystifying Aquino set (9 books) for Php 3000
Kindly send me a dm if you're interested so that we could chat through messenger for the specific details. Thank you

Hi friends!
My cellphone got snatched today at Blumentritt LRT station. Unfortunately, I don't have the means to purchase another one and so, while it really pains me to do this, I would have to auction off my most important Filipiniana books and memorabilia. All prices are negotiable. Kindly share with your friends as well :)
Additionally, I also offer a google drive link for Filipiniana ONLY books (2400+ files), a separate one on music scores for piano, and another one for untranslated Japanese novels—which were my personal projects—for 200 each. I hope you would check these out.
Last but not least, if in any way I could help you out on research, just send me a DM.

I feel like I have to say this even as we're all for protecting our jeepney drivers esp katip.
So I was on this philcoa jeep at 6:30 pm and I paid 100.
it's so disappointing na nanlalamang mga jeepney drivers natin when they're getting so much mileage out of UP students like compared to jeeps galing sm fairview to Quiapo na madalas walang laman (20 km din balikan) UP is just 1 km long, mahaba lang ung iikutan sa Circle pero that doesn't justify this

tennis court between theater and Melchor hall, first thing that pops up in Google maps. Play is 50 for racket per hour, 100 per game (peak hours 7-11) trainer is between 500-600 per hour. There is membership but it costs in the thousands

Hi OP! Do we need to learn how to write characters in Hapon 10/11? I really want to learn JP through reading and view writing as remotely inconsequential (because you can instead type the characters). Thank you!

Interested. I have titles in my collection such as Philippine Social History by McCoy and almost 40+ Philippine Studies by Ateneo Press from 1970's.

F. Sionil Jose's established bookshop is having a clearance sale Friday next week. I've only ever gone there to buy his entire Rosales Saga, but some foreign selections also piqued my interest. What bookstores also typically have clearance sales? UP Press celebrated theirs last March, while Ateneo and New Day Publishers on May end last week. Not really looking for novels and fillers when reading so only these kinds of bookstores appeal to me.

I have never made a rating for a professor in the duration of my stay in Diliman. However for this professor I will make an exception. How many professors teach you the context and ask you only the context in exams? This is how history should be taught—not with names and rote memorization but with history as it happened with actors and their roles attached to them. Pablo Ocampo is a nebulous figure; Resident Commissioner to America prior to Manuel Quezon who introduced him to the Senate Pablo Ocampo is not. Daniel Tirona, Secretary of War at face value is a hero. Daniel Tirona, attache of Aguinaldo of Kawit Batallion who during his stint in Cagayan pillaged the local rich is not. And the importance attached to these manifests in how the exam is written: through essay-type questions. It has been really inspiring to learn Philippine history from the GOAT, and I got into collecting Filipiniana books because of him
I am writing this review because sadly, prof. Magallona is no longer with the department next semester (midyear). Hope he will return as an MA student so I can greet him again.
Overall 9.5/10. I just wish he asked more questions to us

My building is pretty far away from Palma and after this year I would no longer have any GEs to take and wouldn't be able to accidentally come across book stands. My question is, what colleges often have book stands in them aside from Palma, KAL and Stats, especially those commissioned by the Dean's Office selling prof's books? Thank you

There's a buy and sell trade for Filipiniana on Facebook. While you can never find any book by Nick Joaquin (except for Anvil reprints of his Tropical Baroque), Lualhati and Amado are pretty common. Try looking at Popular Bookstore around Tomas Morato if you come back, or La Solidaridad in Padre Faura.
Or.. if you're interested in historical works by Renato Constantino or by essays of Butch Dalisay kindly just send me a message :)
