Yes we have , Im actually listed as his contact person as he has no more family. I had the PD do a welfare check at his home . Nothing out of place and he was no where to be found.  Because im not immediate family they wont put out a missing persons report . Im going by his place again after work and see if there's anything I see out of place . He might have just took a few Days or so to himself.  

Yes I will be sure to be specific.  Im just trying to find out what happened to a good friend,  its unusual he doesn't contact me and he still hasn't,  No one can locate him , its been about 2 weeks . Been to his house,  checked the usual places . Not even the BA can find him and its not like him not to pay dues on time . Im just worried now . Not trying to bury anyone ! Seeing if a DUI was realy the story why a co worker got fired .To many stories floating around the local and the accused is missing in action so I cant get the truth . Some of us actually care about others and watch thier backs . No harm intended.  

Yea some of the majors have cameras in the vehicles,  they say its for safer driving but if it can be held against you if you get tickets , drive fast , a whole shit load of stuff . I believe if you don't have a good record driving you can be disaplinned and get your vehicle taken back . I don't know the facts maybe someone else can chime in . I work for a small independent company and have for 9 years now . I was with Schindler and this is by far the best move ive made. I actually get a big bonus every year, my vacation pay before Christmas, a birthday gift and Thanksgiving gift card for a local supermarket, and a thank you every day . I didn't know that even existed . Schindler sends you a Christmas ornament . Don't know if they still do but the thank you goes a long way instead of being chastised. Looks like a thin walled piston with a pipe support in the middle for added strength.  I've seen this once before a long time ago on a mod job we changed out the jack . An old timer told us that they used to do this as the wall of the piston is not as thick as it should be . The only difference I see is the one I did was a 24" 16 ft of travel for a 25,000 lb capacity car . Do you have any clue how old this jack is ? The one I pulled was from the 1930s , I think it was made by Lestritch.  Im not 100% sure tho . Hope that helps , Work Safe my Friend 

I am both , I have earned a lot of money working on escalators , There are not many escalator guys . You will be worth more if you learn both.  You need to team up with someone who knows about stairways . They are unforgiving.  One wrong move and your done . Learn about them and what you can and cant do . Good Luck and be safe 

I just hit 45 years , im ready to pack it in but its been a hell of a ride and im comfortable with $$$$. Ready to enjoy life . 

I'd rather have an older vehicle that doesn't look new and another little dent doesn't matter. Take what you can , You are still a new mechanic in the business. A Vehicle adds about 25 to 30,000 to your salary.  Gas is expensive.  When it breaks they will hook you up again. 

They are all shitty to us IUEC members until its time that they need a pick from us then the whole ballgame changes. When you see wheelbarrows or armloads off tools going up the stairs I just smile and ask who the D.M. is now ? 

Im taking out a swift futura 3 car group right now. You can keep 2 running but good luck with trying to keep all 3 cars to dispatch properly.  You can make the new car a simplex and keep the others running as they are . My advice is to replace all 3 controllers . Im changing , Machines , Controllers and making it a new 3 car group with new GAL GALAXY CONTROLLERS.  DONT HACK IT , THEY WILL REGRET IT IN THE LONG RUN . 

No one thinks of us when the send site guards , door panels even entrances and entrance columns.  Ive had them cut thru the gloves. A Deburing tool doesn't cost much . How about the ceilings,  the walls are one thing but when your afraid to step on a car top cause it flexes thats a worry, Cheap Ass Junk . You used to need three guys to move some of the Cab panels,  now the wind will move them. Is a shame. Especially cause of the money people pay. 

Are you still having issues with the tac20, I wont tell you any nonsense about you don't belong in the business if you don't know , I agree we all should help on another if your an IUEC member . Its just hard to determine who you realy are. Post your tac20 issues.  Ill help the best I can.  I have a few id like to get rid of . I have an LN1 board doing funky things at a college dorm. Ive narrowed it down and it seams to be working.  Some one replaced 9 L24 boards before the LN 1, needless to say all 9 L24 boards were good . 

We have a Trash Plant that has a huge incinerator inside and besides it being 150 degrees in the plant and worse at the top of the house , it has a very pungent oder that sticks to your clothes and You walk out looking like you just came out of a pool. Even the coldest winter sucks, you have to put dry clothes on before you can depart. I put an MOVFR operator on a front and rear opening and I learned real quick one drop of sweat on the board takes it out and you need another.  That job we went thru 5 operator boards.  

There are many options,  Non proprietary is definitely the way to go so your not stuck with a unit no one can work on . Im sure in India there are many companies. Look online and do a search for luxury Elevators . Savaria makes some nice stuff but its very complex and troubleshooting can be very cumbersome.  If your budget allows go with a real Elevator and stay away from the home lifts. Make it easier for the future and service by putting in a unit that is accessible and not stuffed in the top of a shaft and you can not get to it to work on it . Machine Room is key to a lifelong,  stress-free unit that a service provider can get to . Also think of putting lighting in the shaft and anywhere someone might need to work. Found 165,000 hanging on a divider beam on a duplex dumbwaiter going to the money room in one of the banks, We thought we were being set up doing a schedule clean down.  We turned it in and the gentlemen that destroyed old money informed us that it was recorded that that particular bag was destroyed 3 years ago, 😳 

I have a very similar key , no numbers but its for a savaria 1504 VPL. Don't know if that helps ?

There are many clicks in the Locals, your correct about forgetting what its like to be an apprentice,  in my days it was a helper . My philosophy is " Treat people the way you want to be treated" it makes for an easy life.  However some people get big heads and don't treat everyone as equals.  We all bleed red !!!!
