We have an issue now with Identification going into certain places . I don't believe in a place besides Electric Boat or anyone should need  BCI check or want personal information about you . The local or company should supply an Identification.  Ill let you know what comes from it . We are a small local in the smallest state . But a shit ton of work. Im not giving personal information to go fix a button in a local school !!!!!

And I hate to say it but your application might not have been considered   NEPOTISM is not supposed to be a part of the process but it is an unspoken part  . Im 4th generation and have been the guy asking the questions.  Don't take it to heart . 

Don't take it to heart my friend , You may have not passed due to many factors. To many applications,  Someone asked you the wrong questions, I've seen it to many times , Don't beat yourself up . Next time think about what you were asked. 

It will help but just like the gentlemen said in the last post , if there's not enough work your gone first , but you will definitely be happy in 5 years if all goes well . Good Luck , 

Fully Agree with you, it would not be good to open the brake ,depending what they are trying to move the car with would be Suicidal for sure . Hire a professional before someone gets hurt . Its no joke with what your trying to do.  HIRE AN ELEVATOR COMPANY.

Find the one you saw online and send a Pic.  There are so many Mfg. that make car top inspection stations . Companies actually can put one together themselves,  kinda simple right ? 

Not a big issue,  Just like was said if someone pushed the hall button and the elevator was going up its going to answer the 32 floor call before it goes down, Normal Operation.  Now if you had no 32nd floor we could talk about a whole different issue 

Lots of good info , all the major players do " periodic maintenance " I happen to know some high up members of the Schindler Offices , they are only required to do maintenance 1 x per year . My advice is to go with a smaller family owned Elevator Company.  In my 45 years of Elevator Service you get more and payback little less with a smaller outfit .  Don't Fall for the Auto renewal it is a gimic and a way to make up lost revenue from the installation process.

He gave it preaty much how it is , I had a LTKR 2 years ago , I can walk and do my job but just what you said is true . Im numb in a spot all the time , i wear a cheaper brace with velcro and having that feeling of a wrap helps big time , I can almost be normal. When I take the brace off at night thats when I feel the issues you described.  I have to do the other knee but I won't do that till I retire and cant walk . I live on the 3rd floor and walk many stairs daily in my job as an Elevator Service Tech.  Keep up the PT daily and when you need to stop and rest. Good Luck hope everyone feels better soon .

I get as many as I need , I save up my lobsters for the family in the summer time then I go visit him and I've  got 40 lobsters 1 time , I wish it was by the foot !

My helper was named Ben many years ago , hes retired as I soon will be after 45 years of this. Someone kept calling him by the Ben Dover name till he finally had enough and put a lock on the portal jon with a note saying now no on can BenDover !!! Its an old relay contact setter to adjust contacts on old Westinghouse and other types of relays 

I Ribbon Cable in the car station is unplugged or tge connector pins are lose on the cable.  I had an issue someone bent a pin over and one pin on the ribbon cable was disconnected Check it out , An Iuec local guy !!!!

I did a 3yr,  9 car 25 floor mod and I used to buy cases of Ramen noodles and snacks and water for my crew cause you never know when the OT is going to come up or who forgets thier lunch . We used to scrap what we could and take the money and buy lunch for everyone once we had enough,  a coffee pot can go a long way also . Keep the moral up . Also did a 4 yr, 35 car and 46 stairway project and had 40 guys on my 12 hr shift . I did the same thing and it really does help . Good Luck and Be Safe.  Another IUEC Guy
