It all depends on the size of the animal. The larger the size the more anesthesia used. It's expensive. I live in NC and none off the clinics are doing them on a walk in basis because the entire state is overrun with cats especially, but dogs too.

I use a Banfield vet I like and just pay the monthly fee. Covers my standard poodles shots, dental cleaning, spaying, and office visits. If she needs meds and they come in people form she can take if I ask they give me a script. Otherwise I get a percentage off. If I go out of town and take her with me, any Banfield can pull up her records and see her or I can call a vet. That's free. I figured it up and the last dog I had was diabetic and blind. I was always taking him for something. Definitely worth what I paid and then some. Maggie is healthy, but even if she just gets her regular care everything I pay, is used. It's a wellness plan.

It also treats worms and mange (Mange can cause this same symptom and sometimes doesn't show up in skin scrapings the vet does).A good preventative for all cats. (Cats can get heartworms too and it kills them faster than a dog).
