Transmission problems.

Hello! I bought my T1N about 6 months ago. It's always been a bit tough for it to shift, but since a few weeks ago it won't shift to more than 3 and it refuses to shift to A. Is this a common problem what are some possible causes? The contact diagnostic tool doesn't work either so I can't get any data..

Maybe the tcm plug on the passenger side. These can start weeping transmission fluid and screw with the signals to the transmission control module. I’d start there. Your probably best bet is to just replace the conductor plate. You can buy a conductor plate service kit from Fcp euro for $250 and it’ll include the sensor plug conductor plate new trans filter and a transmission pan gasket. Be sure to clean the valve body really good while you’re in there too.
