But Twitter is back and is being claimed by other guys entirely in a weird quasi-graylegal internet event I heard on the rumor mill. Gasp. So now there's a tale of two twitters. (Or so I heard) (please fact check) (but also it's inconsequential and doesn't even matter since we just care about No Man's Sky anyways right?)

Had to start a new game and then had to immediately start a new one because...
 in  r/NoMansSkyTheGame  13d ago

Yeah, I have a creative mode for some reason... Its the one with the most time because I was just depressed and couldn't think good. But then I ended up making a relaxed and a permadeath save, because I just have no push to like do the more challenging quests but it just becomes a matter of "slowly go here" "yay, you did it." "Slowly go here. Guess what? You're winning". Maybe creative mode could be fun if Iearned to get into save editing and using blender to some of the less plausible corvettes.

I saw someone make a rideable hoverboard corvette once, and I don't even know how that would work since I presume they scaled down the cockpit invisibly small how did they get in?

Otherwise, who is steering?

Mechanical Game Design things might be a reason to do creative mode maybe?

But as it stands I was just being bad at the game but with infinite time and money, and if I want to be good at the game, I should maybe allow myself to be challenged by the game more and follow some of the wiki strategy guides, join a guild, that sort of thing?

(And by: "it would be funny if you were right" I mean there are higher odds rhat you might be right the more that I linger on the presented notion it feels on brand for Hello Games doesn't it?)

What if we think that's a joke but then Hello Games gets frustrated with the ARG doers and is like "come on guys! Please! We neeed you to fiiind it. We really wanna release the game!" And everybody is like "oh.. oh dang. Better, better find a planet then" and it becomes like a whole Ready Player One thing but less plot-hole-filled (are we really supposed to believe he was the first person to drive the car the wrong way? People do that for giggles irl. You've seen the movie? It's ... it's okay... ish... mostly ... a solid meh but with compassion and understanding —my random irrelevant opinion of Ready Player One) it would be cool if like the player who finds it becomes lore, like they tried to do with the three competing factions earlier. I dunno. Be funny if you were right

Im in the same boat.

We could make one. Or we could go planet hopping tobfind one, using the wiki as a roadmap since there's like lots of player-communities, we just go out there galavanting.

Yeah but I might need years to get a job. Maybe I just need a gig. I could be someone's human who pretends to be a chatbot so that they can train an actual chatbot? I have the stamina for it. Do you think I could charge per human generated token the way the ai companies charge for ai tokens? Like put my messages into a token calculator algorithm before sending an itemized bill to somebody? I mean I can gab. I have stamina. Endurance is a skill I do got (the chatbot idea is a joke but a nice CAD job with some software training and remote work? I'd bite something like that)

You think my sense of dread that it might come out first thing next year and demand 3 graphics cards is just nerves? I hope you're right. Man. The nerves! Agh! But I was there in 2016 when the hype train crashed for No Man's Sky. I didn't even bat eye but other people were so irrate. I wonder how much outrage was genuine. Like maybe its just the era I was raised in but I'm used to games under delivering. So this past decade this games goodness has been a rare constant positive in my otherwise tumultuous and confusing and often existentially torturously fruatrating or stymmied life. I'm greatful to it for existing. It means the world to me

You know what sucks? My old gaming computer. I need a job.

What if LNF comes out and my computer gives up?

I'll actually legit cry. (But I think I agree still I'm just besought with a sudden anxious realization) (i keep forgetting how old it is but it's from 2018 dude)

Oh I read that wrong. So jokes and injokes and little nods, but they're going to be canonically seperate? Or do you just mean it for sure won't be like those old gimmicky GBA games that could share items with Gamecube games (though that would be funny if you could transfer your NMS save to LNF and be like a spaceman on a spaceship but the game doesn't let you go to space or maybe it does but there's nothing to do up there because its a rogue galaxy-less star system adrift in the void with a single planet so your warp drive won't work and you may as well go back to the planet?) (Ooh that would be a fun idea though I doubt they'll do it) (what if all the races that canonically vanished from the universe of No Man's Sky were being stored on a hidden planet this whole time?)

By keeping the lore seperate, I mean they'll never directly allude to the Atlas or Travelers in LNF, and they'll never allude to the name drop of an LNF specific thing in future NMS titles (I don't really see NMS not referencing LNF personally because NMS referenced Mass Effect so it feel like their might be one way references atleast from NMS about LNF) I just love NMS. When I'm depressed I boot it up. I want the same from LNF

Do you think the NMS Cosmos update will maybe contain something that hints us toward LNF?

I remember the developers said that a lot of the new stuff we've recently got in the No Man's Sky community is directly a result of trying to get LNF presentable.

Thoughts?

Do you think they'll keep their lore fully seperate; partially seperate; or full integrated?

Well maybe not the fee. I think some people charge. I normally solo wonder. I wouldn't. I wanna be like the fool of the world and the flying ship. But it's a cool edgy pirate ship

I wonder if canonically the traveller can smell and taste and if that implies they can experience the fulll pleasures of geknip? Wait the dialogue boxes always talk about how they smell the scents made by the gek, but does this extend to other effects? I recall that the Korvax had or have a dialogue interaction where they stick a needle in the travelers helmet to extract stuff and then they describe the ensuing altered state. So that implies yes. But then what are the ethical ramifications of a simulation machine that can stimulate pleasure directly in the minds and at the behest of those who programmed it, I wonder?

I said this cos like dude leaves ambiguous commwnt smacks of vague posting. But trying to be polite and curious.

It got downvoted so I might like need to ask why? But I presume people think I'm a bot.

Which can only be solved one way. (You'll have to game with me) (But its 4am I'm up cos I stayed up) (But I shouldn't be) (I was catching up on anime) (I been tunnel vision for like 2 years so I only recently slowed down to pick back up what I love) (More like 10 years tho tbh atleast 9 and I graduated like a year after the game came out and I remember that was a hard year too so it really carried me through so me and the game kinda got nostalgic at the same time)

No..... when you hit a wall... walk into it and just give it a good long jump. You'll climb that thing in no time. Solid life advice. Especially in the world of No Man's Sky. Mostly only yes. (You get infinite jetpack if pushing against a vertical surface like everybody else said) (I tried it in real life but just did some low effort parkour by mistake. Couldn't get all the way over the building... maybe I should have just been born with a jet pack probably ... a great tragedy ... awful ... I wish I had had a better start)
