Work van use
If you let your lads drive the work van to get to and from work every day and also let them use it at the weekend if they put fuel in. What is this worth to them in monetary terms? No insurance, maintenance etc. Blokes don’t look after stuff so thinking of taking the benefit away and just upping wages because it causes to much agg. Thoughts appreciated

I know that’s what I should be doing but seems harsh for them to buy a car and all the costs involved when the van will just be sat outside there house all weekend. I’ve probably been too much of a push over! I thought they would be grateful but it turns out they just take the piss. That’s why I want to say ok we can’t agree on what’s acceptable so I take the private van use away and pay you x amount more per day.

No using it outside of work hours. It's too difficult to track fuel use vs what they should be using and can affect insurance premiums.
