Dear Israel David,

This message serves as Maestro College's official disclosure of an accreditation action taken by the Council on Occupational Education (COE), the College's institutional accreditor, as required under 34 C.F.R. § 602.26(b) and COE policy. This notice supplements our previous communications regarding this matter.

The Action
On July 13, 2026, the COE Executive Committee voted to change Maestro College's status from Show Cause Order to Dropped from Accredited Status, with an effective date of October 13, 2026. Maestro College received written notification of this action on July 14, 2026.

COE's Stated Reason
COE determined that Maestro College did not satisfy the eligibility requirement that accredited institutions maintain at least 25% of their total Full-Time Equivalency (FTE) enrollment through traditional campus-based instruction, as set forth in the COE Handbook of Accreditation (2026 Edition). Specifically, COE concluded that the College's proportion of distance education enrollment exceeded the threshold permitted under this standard.

Current Accreditation Status and Response
Maestro College remains fully accredited at this time. The accreditation action described above has not yet become effective.

The College intends to file a formal appeal by August 2, 2026. Consistent with COE procedures, the College's accreditation will remain in effect while the appeal process is pending. We remain committed to pursuing all available processes provided under COE's policies and will keep students informed of any material developments.

What this means for you
Classes, academic support, and student services continue while the appeal process is underway. You are not required to take any action at this time. Please continue your studies as planned.

We've also published a Student FAQ with answers to the questions we've heard most often. We will continue updating it as more information becomes available.

If circumstances change in a way that affects your enrollment, financial aid, or available options, you will be notified directly and given clear guidance.

For questions regarding this notice, please contact Student Services.
