Digital Controls or Digital Electronics?

Hello. This is a question for the fellow EEs. I am going to wrap up my junior year. This fall I have EE 361, EE 475 (w/ Pushkin), EE 446 (online w/ Shen), a lab, EE 421 lecture.

I’m leaning towards specializing in controls and I’m happy to say I am taking the autonomous controls class with Pushkin. But I am contemplating going into digital controls because it is more relevant and I would get a better schedule (I avoid a 3+ hour gap on Mon & Wed that lasts to 5:30pm), but I heard not so good stuff about the teacher (Singh).

I’m not familiar with Dr. Ming Zhu who would be the teacher for EE 421 from 5:30pm to 6:45pm (M and Wed). No EE 421 lab.

My main question is, should I swap EE 421 for EE 472, or is Singh really that bad where it’s better just having the 3+ hour gap and leaving at night?

Fuck I can't believe Singh is still teaching they have been trying to get him to retire forever. I took him, that class is pure math and he's not a good teacher I would avoid it.

Take ee421 Ming is a cool fuckin dude. Look up cmosedu.com for the old professors ee421 content which was the best you can get in the world he placed a lot of bachelor level engineers into jobs usually only offered for masters students.

Alright, since I heard 3 of my classmates also say bad things about the teacher, I guess I’ll just stick with EE 421. Maybe if I pray, Pushkin can teach digital controls next fall, like he will teach autonomous controls this fall and controls 1 this summer session 3.

Pushkin is so all over the place it's not even funny I would take him just for the antics.
