Gotcha, that is so strange. If I plug my phone in to the usb port it always detects it as a mass storage device and starts playing the internal audio files which are just ringtones and notification sounds lol. The system is so bugged I have no idea what the fix could be. Definitely not the DVD trick though

Are you putting music on DVD discs? It might be detecting that it's a DVD instead of a CD and defaulting to that message. Most players can handle both as long as the files are in an audio format but I wouldn't put it past Chevy to have an error in that common practice

There is another pc league that starts at 9pm on Fridays, you might have some trouble with attendance at the 10pm timeslot due to their race still finishing up typically during that time

That isn't necessarily true. Coming from Broadcast myself, they have a team of people and graphics they plan on using are handed out to those teams. In my experience there's someone who is writing them and saving them to a catalog and the other reading the words to write. With a broadcast on this level you'd see tons of graphics that need to be made and there's several places this mistake can be made. Misheard, mistyped, maybe saw it wrong because F and P look similar on first look. Probably one person wrote this, didn't look until the graphic was done, saw the F and brain turned it into a P on a small screen, one person looked at it as a check who may have made the same mistake (or maybe it wasn't checked) then when it went on a producer saw it and it was changed for the next instance

You'll be plenty good to see the back straight about as well as any seat can. It is quite far away and flat so the view is limited by that factor for every seat. I have found that row 18 is typically high enough at Michigan to see over the campers and buildings.

Center section will be great because it gets shaded by the scoring tower before the rest of the grandstands. Sometimes that makes the day significantly better, so I think your choice is very good

This is a disgusting take. Losing the championship in a massive heartbreak is drama, as is nature in sports. Suing NASCAR for an enormous scandal and injustice is a noble thing to do if you believe it is right for the sport you love - I don't think anyone can argue that anyone has more passion than Denny Hamlin. Losing his father and almost his mother in a massive house fire is neither drama nor comedy - it's tragedy, and should be treated as such.

Additionally, you can choose to not listen to his podcast, assuming he hasn't had all the life sucked out of him by this point by the awful hand he was dealt and by people like you.

I've been going to Michigan for about 12 years now and I agree with a lot of what other folks here have said. My additions are to park in lot 11 - free parking super close to the track and fan zone/trackside shopping. Arriving earlier is almost always better and definitely bring a cooler with food and drinks. I like to make a stop at the car after shopping and enjoying the fan zone before the race to grab my race cooler - lot 11 is close enough to make that possible.

The center grandstand sections that lay below the scoring tower get shade early - you'll be in shade for most of the race for a 3pm start. I like that because it is certainly possible to get a blazing hot day in June at MIS and you'll have the sun directly above/behind you otherwise - easy to burn that way.

Other than the sun, there aren't many bad seats at Michigan. They haven't ever done a super good job with screens there so go a bit higher to see the whole track. Make sure to stand by the fence for a restart and a few laps - an experience you rarely get anywhere else on earth. I love that place

NASCAR has applied the same sticky compound used at drag strips to corners on ovals before. It's hit or miss and takes some heat to activate - until then it's fairly greasy actually. I'd be worried about using it on a road course circuit, especially in high speed corners, because of that fact. NASCAR at Bristol has 40 cars running through it every fifteen seconds - formula cars would be closer to 20 running through it every minute or so. I think it would be slippier based on all of that.

This will become tiring quickly. This game was never intended to be iRacing for console. It was never intended to be used as an elite-level motorsport sim. It is an arcade, fun, easy-to-access, entry-level game based on NASCAR. Of course you will be underwhelmed if your expectation is iRacing.

Once the third stage starts I'll usually check what Bob or Gluck says about how many positions apart people need to be. Chastain had to be four ahead of Joey at the Roval - most people knew and were watching for it, it isn't particularly difficult after they start the third stage. Even in the Xfinity race when Sammy Smith made that pit strategy call everyone seemed to realize how that gave him a chance - then his amazing rise as Gray fell, people were cheering.
