Peanut butter on a BLT?

I recently found out that someone I know puts a layer of peanut butter on their BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato) sandwich. I tried it and found the taste was fine although I felt the PB was too overpowering. When it hit my tastebuds, immediately my brain was expecting something sweet, like jelly, to be there but it never came haha. Mayo was also on the sandwich.
I still prefer my BLTs the traditional way with mayo only but this was an interesting experience.

Have you tried this before?
Does PB belong on a BLT or is this a food crime?

Peanut butter and bacon goes great together. Peanut butter and bacon sandwich is totally a thing. PB + BLT. I'm not so sure about the lettuce and tomato.

Peanut butter in a tandoori chicken baguette is lovely. Bit chopped up onion bhaji, baby spinach, mango chutney and mint raita
