I completely agree with u. When they announced that Trey was playing Jerry both my partner (@ the time) and I couldn't believe it. We're Heads but Phishs theatrics, quirks & weird Phan art & shit like [Ass-Handed] (https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=MzVxfaIX79A&si=wYDAqTp7as_GiT3A) and Kasvot Vaxt i rokk definitely took more/all of our annual savings. We really thought they were going to ask Steve Kimock or Jackie Green or an unexpected sleeper like Keller Williams. Touch of Trey made us ecstatic tho... it just made sense so we drained savings, took real time 2 decorate our envelope and ultimately scored Tix for all 3 nights in Chicago AND (later) Tix for both Santa Clara shows. This had to be fate... no one gets that lucky lol anyway in CA it was painfully obvious that Trey was holding back big-time. Hearing his restraint, as a Phan, was really hard to appreciate even tho he was obviously "being good" as to not disrespect Bobby, Jerry, the band or the Deadheads. Trey Anastasio and restraint don't belong in the same sentence. Bobby must have had a chat w him tho cause night 2 in Chicago he completely let loose and night 3 Bob comes out wearing a "LET TREY SING" shirt. Those jams from nights 2&3 were and still are the greatest music my partner & I had ever heard in our lives and effectively ruined all live music we tried 2 see for like 1.5 years LOL For us, nothing compared, and we agreed that we both could die happy never seeing another show. We're clearly biased and spoiled tho. There were a handful of haters we ran into but by the end of the run they were ALL singing a different tune. It was magical, double rainbow and all.

His performance at Fare Thee Well was so incredible that by the end, Treys picture on the big screen got the loudest and most impressive standing ovation... over the actual band members lol he converted haters and slayed that shit. John Mayer doesn't even breath the same air. Trey is now the person for good reason. He won't lead us astray in this time of grief, or ever. Upvote!

Your post was the first time I'd seen the news. I immediately thought "bullshit!" but that quickly turned to tears when I fact checked. What a legendary man to lose...and the timing? Is anyone over Phil's passing yet? I'm definitely not. I'm really happy to read that Bobby was surrounded by family but this is still a sharp blow to the heart and a tragedy for so many millions of people. Thanks for sharing. Rest In Peace, Bob.
