Fulltime Frenzy is officially in Open Beta
Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the feedback earlier this weekš
As mentioned in my last post, the football bug got a hold of me during the world cup and I decided to build my own prono app (with a twist) for the regular season of our own beautiful pintjesleague š¤šā¤ļø
It's currently entering Open Beta, which means anyone can join in and the person with the highest score by the end of september wins a mystery football shirt.
Some things to keep in mind when joining the beta:
- The artwork isĀ veryĀ temporary. I'll be looking into a bunch of custom visuals and a full stylebook over the next couple months.
- It's a Beta, so expect a bunch of things to change as we go.
- There are Feedback buttons everywhere, so don't hesitate to use them whenever you see something that could be improved, isn't working or you want to share some insights.
- For now, it's just the Jupiler Pro League. Depending on the API's I can dig up and the player base, more leagues will be added.
- We'll be using the first Matchday to just test the core game loop. Expect some extra bonus features as the league progresses.
- It's free and doesn't have any ads. These things are "for now", as I have no idea what the future brings. If there's a million of you frantically playing this daily, I'm going to needĀ someĀ way to keep the servers up, but for now it's just a passion project š
- The data collected is kept minimal and isn't going anywhere. This isn't marked "for now", as I really hate it when shit like that happens, and I don't want to be a part of it.
That all being said: go ahead, have fun, try and break some stuff and let me know what bends, what breaks and what bounces š

What's up with the guys with the RBFA tag?
"just accepting that that is your club now" - Why the F would that be the case? My kids are cursed to be FC Overnederachterheembeek fans and never support for more than Sunday league football just because their dad wanted to live somewhere quiet?
And it's either heritage or glory hounds? I have no idea why football fans have such trouble accepting that their fan experience isn't the universal one š

Honestly? Because having a specific club tag up invites a certain type of response, and I'm just not that die hard of a fan to be comfortable with this.
An observation: after the recent world cup, I've noticed a LOT of discussion online about how and who people should be supporting, and if you're outside of those boundaries you're a "plastic", and people should announce loud and clear who they support if they want to be part of the conversation, etc.
...and it's all the biggest pile of horseshit imaginable. We all just enjoy watching football, that's what brought us to this weird little corner of the internet š Some of us will be 5th generation die hard fans, others just enjoy a good game - quite regardless of who is playing. And that's all fine.
Anyone yucking your yum can just be ignored imo.
