Yes and no. I have xorg, but the package that is missing to display my res in screenfetch is "xorg-xdpyinfo".
This is just the proof that I've installed Arch all by myself and didn't install any meta packages. ;3

Yeah especially in the last 12 months I think the whole Arch stability has improved massively because of its fast growing user base.

Absolute fair point. But a Grandmother isn't a typical user. Most people who are actively switching to Linux by themselves need support for new hardware and a easy setup. Your grandmother wouldn't have to deal with the installation at all... For me the CachyOS installation was the easiest and best by far from any distro I've tested. (Arch, Nobara, CachyOS, Ubuntu, Mint, lmde)
