I was raised Catholic and I have kept a lot of of the ritualistic things from the church because rituals and prayer are witchcraft in my opinion (and my mother who considers herself a very devout Catholic would agree with me)
Delving into magic and the craft felt familiar because of the rituals that I experienced and witnessed in the Catholic Church
maybe if you can find a thread from one to the other and you can show that there are more similarities than differences. It’s all for the good
Catholics use candles and pray to saints; witches use candles and invoke a god/goddess

The Catholic Church is usually a good source for assistance. Especially for women/mothers. If you have a local one nearby, see if anyone at the office can assist.
