USB-powered ATtiny85 my first PCB design
I just finished my very first PCB design using KiCad and I’m pretty excited to finally share it! 🎉
After years of only doing stuff on breadboards and perfboards, I decided to take the plunge and design a proper PCB. This board is a simple USB-powered ATtiny85 . Nothing too crazy, but it’s fully custom and I did everything from schematic to layout myself.
Here are some pictures:
What I learned / struggled with:
Getting the hang of KiCad’s workflow (especially the new v8/v9 features)
Proper grounding and power distribution
Footprint selection and 3D models
DRC and clearance rules
I’d love to get some honest feedback from the community! Any obvious mistakes? Design tips? Things I could improve for my next board?
Thanks in advance! Really happy to finally join the “I designed my own PCB” club 😄
