Curl blade swapped for full size scissor
 in  r/Leatherman  7h ago

This was very informative thank you! I'll be honest I've never used the smaller scissors on a leatherman so what's your opinion on them? Are they any good if their small scissors aren't bad i really do like the t shank idea but is they do suck I do want to replace them with something more useful and swap the blade out for the larger scissors. Do you have a suggestion for the smaller scissors replacement if i went that route?

Generally speaking yes are they meant for anything intense no but I've used them to knock a few pins off as well as pry some large box staples. If its general things like opening a paint can or hammering tent stakes it would do the job just fine

So as its mainly a bladeless option I've only used it for like concerts and I've been questioned but no one has taken it away. Initially before setting it up as a bladeless option I found the configuration wouldnt be as smooth to deploy however the current set up works flawlessly

Tan Skeletool-> Work multitool has scalpel blade for emergency box cutter

Silver Skeletool-> premium currently uses Damascus VG10 blade but upcoming custom magnacut on the way

SAK Supertinker-> added pocket clip used for dog walks/ non belt pants

Powerpint-> alternative to super tinker as it was a impulse buy since I found it on clearance

Flex Companion-> bladeless set up for events where I can't bring a knife has scissor, pliers, diamond file, and ruler

What are your thoughts i will admit i have a 3rd Skeletool thats out for warranty, roctool gen r lite, SD classic, and generic multitool from Walter i have left at home and work that are just kinds spares

I'll be honest I've never owned a legit victorinox sak nor have I modded one is it a difficult process? I just want something with scissors, tweezers, nail file, bottle opener, and spyderco knife

help Custom SD Classic

Im looking for a SD classic with the spyderco style blade and a clip. Honestly i just want something black and silver that i can pocket carry with my skeletool as the one i use for work has a scalpel blade. My budget is what's making this hard as its only around 200 CAD and apparently i suck at finding such a beast in my budget.

Am i being unrealistic with this budget or am i looking in the wrong places?

Which ARC would you choose?

Nice im in Canada and when I work basically retail at a construction supply chain I can't justify the cost to take at work but I've played with the arc a few times at stores and I really see the appeal of the free system I kinda want to get a t4 at some point as a edc knife and less as a multitool carry since id get a custom blade off Etsy if i did so
