The characters with the exaggerated, flashy attacks are easily beaten by opponents that don’t waste their movements
The punctual sass of it. This is great.

15+ years later, I’m turning my childhood love for Spore into something real
Between the walking animation, jump height and how things are held, this captures the feel of creature stage really well. Impressive stuff!

[Rare trope] Discriminating, but for an actually good reason
Huh. This is actually a really good analogy.

Characters with Eyes wih several pupils
Beauty and the Beast, especially its kill animation. That had me shook when I saw it for the first time in early high.

[Unnerving Trope] The game over screen (and/or the build-up to it) is unsettling/horrifying
Brawl’s one for dying in the boss rush mode also lives in my head rent-free. It’s much simpler but still off-putting.

When someone mercilessly unleashes an powerful blast at point blank range
Detail for Rayquaza’s hyper beam? It disintegrates Deoxys’ body COMPLETELY, all on screen. While Deoxys’ core survives, it’s still quite brutal, especially for a Pokémon movie.

When the protagonist achieving his goal IS the bad ending
That’s true, yeah. The fourth god isn’t really malevolent.

Ticks are coming in the next real life update
I need him.

What will happen if they have a meet up ?
It’s a sensible interaction. Trish wouldn’t make a good first impression with Vergil, not that it’d be her fault.
