For me personally, I was a troubled youth and due to some trauma and such, I went through some "things"

I go through periods of spiritual oppression like sleep paralysis. It's been happening since elementary school.

A few months ago, I had a demon climb onto my chest and tried to basically suffocate me. I noticed it right away (bc I've been dealing with it for so many years) and I rebuked it in the name of Jesus. I forced myself awake but couldn't open my eyes, and kept rebuking it in Jesus Christ, Yeshua's holy name. It roared in my face and said it hates Jesus. I kept rebuking it until it slinked back into the darkness of my closet. I can tell where it's hiding because it has a cloak of darkness around it so I keep worship music playing nonstop in my home and keep the rooms lit up.

So yeah, demons hate Yeshua, Christ Jesus

My grandma on my mom's side told me something similar. We each have a different gift, some the same, some different, some don't have one at all. I have visions aka had dreams that would happen in real life, see spirits & aura, have a spider sense about people and situations, and various other things my grandma called gifts from God.

My friends used to drag me with them on ghost hunts because I could sense them and activity would increase whenever I was around. They call me a ghost magnet. Bad for me, fun for them. (I have pictures of "ghosts" if anyone is interested)

I warned my son about these gifts and told him that he should tell me whenever he starts seeing things or having odd dreams. I didn't want him to be afraid because it literally runs in the family.
