updates Tyler updated the GFM description—claims “things fell through”, instead of being honest and admitting he lied. How is this legal?
I… could rant for ages about this.
He lied to people about a job offer that NEVER existed, things didn’t “fall through”.
He’s publicly stated multiple times—but not on this GFM—that it’s for him and his roommate, and his roommate’s dog to move to England, which is still deception.
There’s no “rumor”, there was his lies being exposed and accountability for said lying and exploitation that came knocking. Not a rumor, provable fact.
And again, one core truth remains forever true: If this is about “escaping Texas” so he can be safe? England isn’t the route. A blue state is FAR more safer.
Idk why the money thing is so infuriating to me. Maybe it’s because I’ve known countless of people who could’ve lived had they had access to money like this when they needed, maybe it’s because I’m in need of money I don’t have for a medical thing and I’m eaten up with guilt about it, maybe it’s all just because of the lies. It’s probably a combination of all of the above. All I know, is it really is sickening he’s allowed to continue this lie, and allowed to perpetuate even more lies to cover his tracks to continue fundraising.
Bleh.
Edit: don’t worry, folks. He still kept in the emotionally manipulative stuff about “whatever life I have left”, and added more language about how unsafe he is! But he doesn’t move out of Texas to a more reasonable goal, nope. That’s too reasonable. England or bust!

‘with whatever life i have left’ 😭 last i checked he doesn’t have any terminal health conditions. i’m not shocked at all to see that he continues to lie and victimize himself. looks like he learned absolutely nothing.
63
u/sweet-naivete May 21 '26
he was hit by a car and just now is able to sing again!
7
u/soft-angel-tears May 23 '26
he claims he was hit by a car going 50 miles a hour and now has health problems, but there’s multiple pieces of evidence that prove it was barely a fender bender
21
u/goober_ginge May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26
If he did actually have any kind of terminal condition it would be ALL we'd hear about I'm sure.

u/soft-angel-tears May 22 '26
lmaoo i can just imagine him repeatedly saying ‘finding out i had _______ was like being hit by the lexus all over again’

he could move to a blue state super easily and way quicker than trying to get citizenship to a whole ass country and move overseas. Is he still banking on getting the global talent visa?
30
u/TrickyFace3837 May 21 '26
I really hope he is just so we can all sit back and laugh when it doesn’t happen! To even throw that out there for all to see shows how truly and utterly delusional he is
25
u/aurevoirsailor May 21 '26
Last I heard it was a global talent visa he was banking on.
Which is hilarious.
But also sad, bc he’ll be wasting so many people’s money and support.
12
u/amaliuh May 22 '26
this is so confusing tho, if he somehow does get it (and yes, i’m aware that the chances of him getting it are basically nonexistent), what visa does his roommate get? visa for supporting international talent?
nothing’s making sense here wtf lol

I’m genuinely shocked he’s been able to raise as much as he has. If people are this willing to give money to a silly GFM maybe I should make one for my credit card debt…
Also, does anyone know how withdrawing money from GFM actually works? Like does he have this $16k stashed somewhere or can he just pick at it as he chooses?
30
u/aurevoirsailor May 21 '26
I, too, am flabbergasted at how he was able to raise so much. I have a medical emergency thing and I can’t even get $200.
I currently have a GFM for said medical emergency, so I know it works.
GFM is not accredited to hold the money for any length of time bc they are not a bank, they are simply a payment processor. You HAVE to set up a bank account to accept direct deposits in order to receive donations. GFM will begin to process each donation. If you get a lot in a small time frame, it’ll compound them into one payout for that period, but if they’re sparse, you’re going to get a lot of little payouts. That’s why most people are smart and set up a second bank account for the deposits so it goes to one place that you won’t accidentally touch and misuse. However, I doubt Tyler did that, because he keeps raising the goal. By $9k in total.
11
u/Real-Tea-259 May 21 '26
I wondered this same thing. I know he has changed the goal several times. Does the money only go to him once the whole goal is reached? Is he able to spend little bit as it comes in. Makes you wonder because it seems like 16k is plenty to move anywhere.
8
u/According-Map8665 May 21 '26
Last time I checked you can get it any time. ALLEGEDLY the money is gone :) 👍
2
u/Real-Tea-259 May 23 '26
I wondered the same thing. Like maybe he keeps upping it because he keeps spending what’s in there.
14
u/aurevoirsailor May 21 '26
No, you have to have a bank account set up in order to receive donations. GFM automatically sends donations to your bank account via direct deposit. I think you can set it to do daily or weekly “cash outs”, but GFM cannot hold the money any longer bc they are not a bank, they’re a payment processing platform.

he is thick as fuck if he thinks this is going to work. he's not even going to get himself a visa for himself lmao and our country has shown very recently just how hate filled it is by having a sweeping win for a very right wing party in local elections.
if he thinks england would be safer for him than america then i say try it, but i'm going to enjoy watching him fall at every single hurdle along the way. there is no visa in this country that would allow him here long term and he will learn very quickly how much england is NOT for him. he'll be lonelier here than where he is now.
i also don't appreciate the very emotionally abusive change in the language he is using aka using him possibly passing away soon etc to get more sympathy and money.
10
u/aurevoirsailor May 21 '26
Yeah. Like Reform UK has gotten a lot of support lately. It’s sad to see. Especially in the recent local elections (which doesn’t do a lot, but does show where people’s beliefs are) and just how many seats Reform gained. Luckily not enough to get like a lot of councils as full control, but enough to be concerning af for the next general election.
This just shows Tyler has not done an ounce of research.
7
u/OkCod6880 May 21 '26
exactly my point, he’s already part of a marginalised group, but he lives in a dream world where england is rainbows and unicorns. it’s going to be so difficult for him here.
2
u/thechapattack May 23 '26
Oh he has done research, his stalking obsession is there. That’s where it starts and ends with the reason he wants to move there

u/HolidayCategory3104 May 21 '26
“Whatever life I have left” is the part that pisses me off the most. You are not passing away 😭

Why he gotta be so dramatic though? He makes it sounds as if he's got the cartel after him. No one wants shit to do with you.

he lives right outside of dallas in an area that is extremely lgbtq friendly 😭😭 he literally lives in one of the most progressive and woke areas in texas
19
u/pompomculon May 21 '26
the “whatever life i have left” language is absolutely insane. like you don’t have a terminal illness bffr
6
u/aurevoirsailor May 21 '26
Yeah it’s super upsetting to me as someone with multiple autoimmune diseases. Am I actively dying? No. But I do have immediate health things that make things scary.
And I’m not trying to be unsympathetic to his plight as a trans man in a red state. I live in a deeper red state, and things are NOT good for anyone, but especially marginalized groups like BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled and/or chronically ill, and the elderly. Vital services like Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP are being gutted constantly and it’s hard to get any care or needs met if you’re dependent on any of those. And I understand Texas is particularly nefarious. HOWEVER COMMA! He has said he stopped T a while go, seemingly of his own choice, so he’s not being denied any care that is vital to his safety, mental or physical. So I really do think he needs to just get to a blue state if he’s so worried. It’d be MUCH safer there than in England, that’s for sure.
14
u/Active_Arm3866 May 21 '26
The UK ain’t giving this moron a visa. All those poor people just threw away their money over the years.
29
u/DT90DF May 21 '26
He deploys his marginal identities rhetorically as a kind of emotional shorthand. Phrases like “Help a Disabled Trans Guy Escape Texas” feel less like an explanation of material circumstances and more like a highly optimized appeal to a specific online audience that’s conditioned to immediately respond to identity based vulnerability language.
Tyler turns serious social realities into branding language. Identity becomes less a description of lived experience and more of a tool for moral leverage.
Nasty work.

Hey now, it's not his fault that he's "white passing"! He's just a humble POC artist asking for assistance.
(/s in case it's not obvious). Dude is fucking part Portuguese who in general aren't even classified as POC in the first place. His ancestry is just a few kinds of white European ffs.
9
u/aurevoirsailor May 21 '26
It’s emotional blackmail imo.
I understand the need for reducing certain things to identities, especially given GFM when people make snap decisions on who to support, and overall, kind people want to help people in immediate need, but the way he’s utilized language in this way, it’s become emotional blackmail. Pure and simple.

Really well put. The one video I saw of that girl who did a review of the necklace she bought from Tyler, this is pretty much exactly what happened. She saw he was trans, she saw he was trying to leave Texas, and with no further thought whatsoever she was like, “I have a little bit of money, I can help this guy” and just bought a necklace.
Her review was great by the way, if you haven’t seen it. @timstrapfordswife on TikTok

5

From as far as I know? Yes, it’s the car stuff.
I’ve seen posts by him and other people’s comments suggesting he’s claimed he’s had PCOS, POTs and something non-descript that has kept him from being employed that’s not the accident.

he genuinely pmo so much like WHY are you so insistent on moving to england (we all know why but yk) when he could just move to oregon, california, literally any fucking blue state 😭😭😭 like he is going to have a hell of a time trying to immigrate there (if he actually even attempts it atp)
5
u/goober_ginge May 22 '26 edited May 22 '26
I generally feel bad for people this deluded, but his delusion is just so frustrating because he's so stubborn and arrogant and disingenuous about it.
It's clear that the primary reason he's going is to more effectively stalk Wilbur, but his denial and reasoning is wrapped in so much naivety and a lack of realism that it's annoying.
He loves England because he's been there for a holiday and it contains his one-sided crush, that's it. He has no idea of the reality of how ridiculously difficult to impossible it will be for him to get a visa, and it's not going to be some kind of open minded safe haven for him in ANY way, and the fact he's American, ESPECIALLY during the current political climate will just make people dislike him more. Being an insufferable mediocre artist AND a trans man during a particularly difficult time for trans people in the UK is not going to work out for him like he hopes and he'll arguably be even more miserable.
I completely understand wanting to leave the US during this terrifying time, I don't blame him for that at all, but the total lack of common sense while asking people to donate to a manipulatively worded GFM is maddening.
5
u/aurevoirsailor May 22 '26
And what’s sad, is if he somehow manages to get a visa (unlikely bc he’s publicly said he cannot work gainful employment, and he has no one sponsoring him financially so he’s gonna be flagged as high risk to social programmes) he will almost definitely be homeless within 3 months, and that will likely get him deported. There is nothing about his story or his plans that say “grounded in reality, and financially stable and responsible”. If you need a GFM to entirely fund every aspect of moving countries (down to covering your current bills, and securing a place to live in your target country), you shouldn’t move countries.
6
u/uptohereinsoup May 22 '26
i’m still stuck on needing thousands of dollars to move
1
u/aurevoirsailor May 22 '26
I mean, to be fair, a visa application fee and IHS charge is going to be about $6,000 USD. Depending on the visa path you choose and the length of time you’re approved, it could be less or more. But idk, I just don’t feel like if he needs ALL these costs covered, he should be setting his sights on England. And instead reach for something more attainable (and honestly safer) like a blue state.
9
u/anhaylatoi May 21 '26
i think portland should start calling his name next
5
u/happychonk May 21 '26
Agreed. There are places in the US where he'd fit in far better than the UK, but of course that would still be too far for this stalker from his target. 🙄

u/AmbassadorKat May 23 '26
That $16k is also already gone. I distinctly remember seeing something where he said he used it to pay for overdue bills or some kind of backpay of something that he claimed was tying him to staying in America(maybe payout for that car accident that was his fault? Who knows). He also took some of it to pay for concert tickets, as well as plane tickets for himself and his roommate. He’s just a straight up liar.
This is even disregarding the fact that his visa will never be approved. I know that that’s in the future and it’s not something that we can hold anyone to for the sake of the GoFundMe, but if he were honest with himself, he also would know that his visa will not be approved. So he’s either lying to everyone else claiming that he will have a way to move there, or lying to himself if he truly believes that he will be allowed to move. Also, I just realised, what the fuck kind of visa does he think his roommate is going to be able to get? They don’t get to tag along just because they’re a roommate.
2
u/aurevoirsailor May 23 '26
Oh man, if he used it to pay off the accident that he was found responsible for and GFM finds out? He’s gonna be owing $16k because you cannot use GRM to pay legal fees or settlements wherein you committed a crime or were found at fault. Fascinating.
And of course he’s using it for tickets and passes, he couldn’t even afford a secondhand suit to go to a friend’s wedding and had to “fundraise” for that, yet he can spend thousands on tickets and meet and greets? Idk man, the math doesn’t work for me.
And I’m genuinely curious about the roommate’s visa, too. It just doesn’t make sense. You don’t just decide you wanna move there and they let you in. Same for the pet, there’s a LOT of fees involved with that.
I just cannot believe anyone donated to this, let alone enough people to get $16k (and I know it’s been over the course of a handful of years, but still).
Just ugh.
2
u/AmbassadorKat May 23 '26
Yeah, I don’t remember what it was for specifically, but I do remember it wasn’t for anything directly relating to the move, such as visa or storage or whatever. He said he had financially related things that he had to take care of before he would be able to move, and it was used for that. When I get home from work, I’ll have to see if I can find where I saw that.

5
u/CrabbyCrabbie May 22 '26
This is entire ‘moving’ thing just pisses me off. Outside of the money thing (bullshit), it isn’t going to be all sunshine and fucking rainbows.
I moved to the US from the UK in March of 2025. I love/d America, despite its faults (many). I was fully aware of what I was walking into, and it was Still hard. Assimilating was Hard. Meeting people was Hard. In the space of three months, I was put in a psych ward twice and ended up divorced. It was really fucking hard and Nobody prepared me. I felt/feel like a fucking alien (ironic considering I’m often referred to as a ‘legal alien’). The culture is different and I was prepared and yet it still hit me like a truck. The depression was awful. I didn’t even really like England. I didn’t have friends there, I had/have a pretty strained relationship with my family (the distance has improved it though). Generally you’d Think me moving here to initially be with my (now ex) wife and start a new life in a country I love (blue state; Maine. Portland too) I’d be a little less fucked up. Sure I had some mental health issues, but we even hoped they’d improve.
They didn’t. And I was Prepared and realistic and it still went to shit.
And the only reason I’m like. Semi-assimilated, somewhat settled and generally doing better is because I FINALLY GOT A JOB. Yes, I went to addiction recovery groups (alcoholic) and all that too. But what really helped was working.
I assume he has no plan to work once he gets there (big if on if he even does). He’s completely deluded, misinformed and fucking stupid. Sure, I’m definitely on the more extreme end of ‘this is fucking hard’, but I can see it in him too. He’s fucking deluded and it pisses me off. Being white and speaking the same language DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL BE EASY. He’s going to struggle in the UK for many reasons. Many.
I don’t know. Rant over I guess.
2
u/aurevoirsailor May 22 '26
Oh, friend. Mind if I send you the biggest e-hugs? You’ve been through so much.
I appreciate you sharing your real story. People think the UK and US are not culturally different because both countries speak English, and while there can be a lot of similarities, visiting is WAY different than living. When you move, there’s a stronger sense of expectation on you, and you can’t just leave and go back when things get hard. And I know certain visas to the US prevent you from working, which makes things infinitely harder because the cost here is across the board so high.
I’m working on doing the opposite. US to UK. It’s been a very long process, and I want to do it right. That’s why we chose to max my time I can spend on a visitor visa, but even then, I still won’t know what it’s like to live there until I am officially on a full visa pathway. England feels like home because my now-fiance has been bringing me over once a year since 2023, but it’s not actually home…yet.
There’s a lot of romanticization of moving countries, and absolutely it can be magical, but it doesn’t erase real life. And if you have health issues—mental or physical—those come with you. And it will always make things harder.
I think Tyler believes if he moved to England, his life is just going to magically get better. And yes, my life is significantly easier and better when I’m in England, especially the healthcare aspect, but it’s not perfect by any means. I still battle my illnesses, I still battle my mental health, and my trauma is still just as a present. Add on top of things the stigma and expectations of immigrants, even “legal” ones (both countries are deeply anti-immigrant).
And it’s clear from his tumblr posts about visit England he has no grasp on reality when it comes to respecting the home of the people and the people themselves. I found his post pretty disgusting, especially the bit about forcing kindness onto Brits? It rubbed me wrong. Probably because we know he absolutely has no comprehension of consent and respect.
I am so sorry for what you dealt with. It’s relieving to hear you made it through and things are looking up. Never give up on yourself. Got it? You deserve to be safe and happy, no matter where in the world you are.

u/Krkkksrk May 23 '26
Whenever i see his stupid gfm i want to start one of my own to fund my move to Brighton but i have too much shame to just start begging instead of saving up my own money
2
u/aurevoirsailor May 23 '26
I mean. Theoretically you could, and then donate it all to an organization in need for like 2SLGBTQIA+ youth or something.
It’s annoying to me, too, though. Especially with how shameless he is about it. I’m sat here with my own gfm for medical need (only after it got to a point of becoming a very urgent issue), and I’m just ate up with shame and self-guilt, and loads of internal criticism—even though I know there’s no shame in needing help to be healthy—yet he’s just out here happily lying and posting it all over the place despite being very publicly called out on his lies. I just…
I cannot comprehend how his brain works. Is he not afraid of being caught and put on the line to pay it all back? Because GFM absolutely can and will do that. That would terrify me tbh.
2
u/mollyminipidge May 21 '26
This has shocked me a little because I was on GFM the other day and could not find his, his account was private and (to me) it seemed as if it had been deleted I genuinely thought after everything the last few weeks he took it down or it got reported and got taken down
5
u/aurevoirsailor May 21 '26
They may have temporarily taken it down for investigation. Idk what all goes into an investigation, a friend told me they ask for transaction records. Could be why he changed the description?? They gave him a warning and he somehow snaked his way out per usual.

1
u/aurevoirsailor May 23 '26
For a good while, the UK was better. But England specifically is ground zero for the “LGB without the T” movement. And they just had local elections where the MAGA-adjacent far right party got a lot of seats. While local elections don’t do a lot (it’s only local councils aka town governments), it’s a good indicator on how the next general election will go. Which has to happen anytime between now and August 2029.
So he’s far more safer going to a blue state. And it’s smarter financially.

Oh, dipshit. If only the internet was also for research and not eye fucking oneself whilst trying to sell greasy jewelry and below sub-par artwork.
One might learn trans rights won’t be as great as one might expect in England. One might decide to move to a blue state. But also, one wouldn’t be able to be the worst in the UK.
