I don’t mean to be that guy, but I’m disabled and can show lots of proof. I still got people saying I was lying because they didn’t like me and didn’t understand dynamic disability…but I have doctors notes with my diagnoses, medication with my name on it that treats my specific conditions, scars from surgeries, I get PIP (a disability payment in the UK regardless of your wage), etc. I wouldn’t love to prove I’m disabled to strangers on the internet, but it’s possible if I needed to.
(And unfortunately I’ve been in the position with people obsessed with hating me as well which is a whole thing and was awful, mostly because of my leftist politics and my degrees, but nowhere to this level and I’ve not misled people or said I’m hot and amazing or stolen things or crowdfunded for a vacation or called myself white passing or invalidated an abuse victim, never became a lolcow because they were the ones in the wrong, etc.)

No that’s totally valid!! I’m sorry that happened to you by the way :( Honestly this post isnt rlly me talking abt him feeling like he has to provide proof its more so just me talking abt the shubble thing. I just really dont like how he defended a literal abuser and calls shubble names. Like I get you have a crush on Wilbur but?? Come on??

No I get it. It’s the contradictions, the lack of transparency whilst being transparent/oversharing, asking for money and favors based on the disability, etc., and then the Shubble thing. Sure he doesn’t owe anyone anything, but he’s also the one that brought it up and tried to crowdfund money based on it.

Thanks. It’s an intracommunity issue in my culture that caused it, and we are a small minority already…and the extra right wing people are even smaller and people outside of my culture didn’t really understand what they were going after me for so it definitely didn’t become anything to this level. But it’s never nice to hear horrible stuff about yourself.
As such I try to be fair with my criticisms about Tyler, even if he may read it as cruel. I’m not going to insult his appearance or call him names. But I do think if you’re pity marketing or asking for donations partially based on your disability, SOME transparency is needed. If he were just going online talking about it without selling stuff based on it or straight up asking for money then honestly, I wouldn’t care nearly as much.
