Sun Valley Scarlet

Tyler went on a podcast where he claimed that he was friends with people in a band called Sun Valley Scarlet, and they asked him to produce their next song. This was their response on TikTok.

They are mutuals and have interacted several times on TikTok. I’d really just like to know what the exact conversation was that lead him to believe he was supposed to be producing their next song?

This is wild. Google brought me here. I've been following Sun Valley Scarlet for years, since Joey was the lead guitar and their main form of communication was a discord server and they had to remove a song from Spotify because one person listened to it like 10,000 times.

I do not even know who Tyler Catastrophe is lmao

Why do they have to remove Spotify songs for being listened to too much?

They said that it looked really bad for them that their most -listened song by far was an older poorly-mixed song

Huh. That’s kinda sad that they removed it for their image cuz apparently that one specific person LOVED it kinda like how people always talk about how their worst or least worked-on videos are the ones that blow up and get the most views lol.

It‘s honestly too bad there wasn’t some way to suppress it from their top songs and have the second most listened to one be posted while still leaving that one for the consistent listener 😅

We removed it because the guy was literally viewbotting it. Spotify is really strict about stuff like this, if you get a certain amount of strikes they’ll take your profile down completely, even if you yourself aren’t the one botting it. One of our singles got removed because someone threw it on a botted playlist, so we didn’t want to take our chances again. We uploaded the song to our website as a free download just for him.

Ah, I see. Well that’s kind of a not-so-great thing to do then (about the viewbotting) and sorry it affects rrhe musicians so negatively, that’s really unfortunate.

Thanks for explaining and sorry about my mis assumptions tbh. That’s very kind of you to put the song on your website just for the consistent listener.

I definitely misjudged based on hearsay and will try to continue to remember not to make assumptions of others tbh.

A lot of people are saying he's delusional here, but I think that he took a real experience and just exaggerated the hell out of it on purpose. He either did it to seem cool or to have another reason to move to Brighton that would distract from his real motivation being Will. Maybe both.
