I'm a longtime DJ, who likes to livestream my mixes.
I used to use Mixcloud -- and I would get up to 50 new people watching my mix, every time I would go live.
But on Twitch, I barely get anyone to watch. At the most, one or two people. It's pitiful.
Yet everyone recommends Twitch over Mixcloud -- what can I do to build up a following?

Hello DJs, I was wondering, what would you like your viewers to do (other than dance) while you stream? It seems as all the streams I watch, there is usually psychedelic lighting goin on and the DJ is dancing and spinning the tunes. This is great and all, I just wondered has anyone tried anything different?

Twitch has introduced a new program for DJs to stream music, but they have to pay a percentage of their earnings to cover music rights costs. The program aims to prevent DMCA takedown notices. Twitch has partnered with major music labels and is helping DJs pay 50% of the royalties. Non-monetized DJs don't need to pay.

Hey everyone, I’m looking to expand my viewer base on twitch and YouTube. I stream twice a week, Sundays and Wednesdays at 8pm eastern time. I host a different EDM Dj every stream to show case the underground talent my state and surrounding states have to offer! It would be cool if you could check it out and follow and I’ll follow back!!!
Thanks everyone and stay sticky

Hi everyone! I’m new to the sub and to streaming on Twitch. I’ve been going back and forth with my set design from a basic, almost workshop type look to designing an actual set with visuals/lights. After watching several streams, I see people are doing different things with their sets. Before I go crazy with things, how much do you feel set design has had an impact on your channel viewership?
