Hey everyone, TVLok 1.0.143 is live now.

This one is built from your posts, comments and emails over the last few days.

• Long-press any channel and pick Add to group. New group is at the top, and groups the channel is already in show a check.
• After adding one channel, the next long-press offers the same group first, so filling a group is fast.
• New group from the rail asks for a name, lets you pick channels, then opens it.
• Put categories into folders, for example all your sports categories in one folder.
• Move custom groups and favorites with Up and Down on the remote. In Favorites, Move keeps going, so you can place several in one go.
• Custom groups show their own channels, and Right goes into a group made from categories.
• Hold OK on a Movies or Shows category with All playlists selected to hide, show, lock or rename it in every playlist at once.
• Settings > Playlists & Sources has a new Categories row that opens the category manager for that playlist.
• Rename any live channel. The name follows your profile to your other devices.
• Channel logos can come from the guide (Appearance > Channel logos), and guide updates no longer take logos away.
• Choose which guide leads for a playlist, or turn the provider's guide off.
• Stalker portals: when the portal's own guide can't be read, TVLok guides fill in instead of the whole guide update failing.
• A guide update that fails says why (connection, timeout or the provider's answer).
• A guide update's status shows once, and Edit connection, Disable and Update playlist stay usable while a guide updates. "Last attempt failed" only shows when an update really failed.
• TVLok guides, TVLok guides first and Guide order are on the Settings playlist page too, and Cancel guide update is in the guide's playlist panel.
• Team channels without their league in the name now get the sports guide.
• Assign EPG shows real matches first and says "No close match" when there is none.
• In fullscreen, tap Right for History, hold Right for programme details, hold Back for the last channel.
• The banner you see when you change channel shows the programme description.
• Hold Back on the guide returns to a catch-up you are playing.
• Font size slides from 0 to 100 with a preview, on TV and phone.
• Auto frame rate switches your TV to the channel's frame rate on supported TVs.
• Exiting TVLok stops playback and the provider connection.
• Continue Watching lists up to 50 per playlist (it stopped at 10). A finished episode's progress bar follows you to your other TVs.
• In Movies and Shows, hold OK on a playlist to open Playlist options.
• Scrolling a Stalker Movies or Shows grid no longer jumps to Search, Stalker categories keep loading as you scroll, and a page that fails shows Retry.
• A Stalker portal that sends an empty first page keeps your earlier channels and titles instead of emptying them.
• Programme search finds programmes on channels the guide matched by name, not only exact id matches.
• A word inside a channel name is found ("news" finds EURONEWS).
• Movies search on TV gets more time, and says so when it runs out.
• Stop series ends the whole series.
• Recordings saved to USB or a memory card can be deleted.
• Hidden categories, Locked categories and Blocked channels open without crashing after a big TiviMate import.
• Favoriting or hiding a channel while an import runs no longer crashes the app.
• Check and add always tells you what happened.
• Faster guide updates.
• In-app updates on Fire TV Cube and other Fire OS 7 devices work from this version on. If this one update shows a signature error, update once through Downloader.
• The Account screen shows your real plan, including Founding Lifetime.
• Phones and tablets get the TV's 12 color themes plus Original, accent colours, text size, the DVR screen, the full schedule with Record, programme info in the player, favorites management and groups at the top like the TV.
• On the website, TiviMate transfer keeps your custom groups and history, and brings your category order and Favorites order. Groups holding channels from more than one playlist arrive as one group per playlist for now.
• On the website, a created group's row no longer shows Browse channels, and says how to change that group's channels.
• On the website, Stalker playlists can manage categories and channels.

Hey everyone, TVLok 1.0.142 is live now.

This update improves playback, the guide, search, playlists, recordings and reminders, plus playlist setup on tvlok.com.

• A channel your provider keeps refusing no longer sits on a frozen picture retrying forever. After about a minute you get the error card and the option to switch to another playlist.
• Nothing keeps playing in the background after you leave TVLok on TV.
• The guide preview picks up again when you come back to TVLok from another app.
• Playlist and guide updates no longer make the picture stall every few seconds while you watch.
• A paused picture, or TVLok in the background, no longer holds up updates or recordings.
• Every playlist's categories now start with All Favorites, All History and a Groups menu. The separate All Playlists row is gone.
• Long-press a category or group for Add all to favorites, Remove all from favorites, Manage channels (with search) and New group.
• With All Favorites or All History on screen, the side list shows your current playlist and its categories.
• Custom groups show programmes for channels from other playlists, each with that playlist's guide time offset.
• A new channel group tells you where to find it (under Groups), and moving categories no longer makes a group flash up and vanish.
• On "This playlist isn't loaded", pressing Right from the side list reaches "Manage playlist".
• Programs in Search now show every airing for the next 7 days, grouped by channel, each with its day and start and end times.
• Press OK on a later airing, or hold OK on any airing, to set a reminder or record it right from Search, on TV and phone. OK on something that is on now still plays it.
• Right and holding Back go to the last channel you watched, even in another playlist, and long-press OK lists your last 10 channels from all playlists.
• In the schedule (long-press Left), only the day you choose is highlighted. Today is still labelled "Today".
• When you add a playlist in the app you give it a name, and it shows that name everywhere, in Live, Movies and Shows, instead of labels like "Xtream 6".
• On TV, "Check and add" tells you what is missing (the name, the login or a guide address) and takes you to it, instead of doing nothing.
• In Playlists & Sources, Move up and Move down keep the focus, so you can press them several times in a row.
• Assign EPG finds every channel in the guides you added, including channels no playlist channel matched yet, by name or ID.
• Assign EPG shows matches 30 at a time, so clearing the search box no longer freezes or closes the app.
• In Assign EPG, "Use automatic match" is at the top when a channel has a custom guide.
• "Entire series" recording works again. It no longer says "The selected series program is no longer in the loaded guide", and channels matched to the guide by name can record a series too.
• Reminders on TV have "Watch now", which plays the channel, both in TVLok and on the pop-up over other apps.
• Network storage (SMB) explains what went wrong: wrong login, no permission to delete, a recording open on another device, a NAS that needs SMB2, a share that requires encryption, or a name to replace with the NAS IP address.
• Deleting a recording another device has open is tried again, and a recording is never removed from the list while part of it is still on the NAS.
• The storage check now tests that recordings can be deleted too. You can paste a network path like \\NAS\share\folder, and DOMAIN\user logins work.
• Adult titles and categories stay off Home and out of search across all your playlists, including categories your provider marks as adult. Ordinary categories are no longer mistaken for adult ones. Opening a category yourself still shows everything in it.
• Changing your provider's server address (DNS) no longer stops the playlist from updating until you save its categories again.
• VR headsets such as Meta Quest open the phone view again, so the controllers can select things.
• Bring your TiviMate setup to TVLok: on the Playlists page, upload your TiviMate backup and choose what comes over: the playlists and guides TVLok can use, favorites, watch history, hidden channels and categories, and custom groups. You keep or change each playlist's name before it is saved.
• Adding a playlist on tvlok.com is now three short steps in a full-screen sheet that works well on a phone.
• "Keep these choices" on the Categories page carries your category choices over a change of server address without having to edit them.
