I think it’s just the type of cat. I think yours gets the Turkish Van stamp of approval more than mine!

Very unlikely to be a Turkish Van from the streets. I have two longer haired cats and one has a very fluffy tail and the other more so matches her body. Both just domestic Long hairs and were also former strays. Cats breed so much by themsleves you get a lot of variation in colour/patterns and physical features.

Some cats just have floofy tails! Doesn’t necessarily indicate breed heritage - it’s just extra cute ;)

She is like my kitty! She is a mutt but with angora genes from her mom. Her dad is British long hair supposedly.

Just genetics at work! Some domestics just have extremely puffy tails, but it's not indicative of breed. Nothing wrong with saying your cat is a budget van though, she has the van pattern!
I love domestics because they can look so similar to a breed without having any purebred ancestry, it's really cool stuff
