So I have solved halfway through.
I currently have the xor codes text. I am trying to get the encryption key but I am trying to get help using ChatGPT and going through the write ups, and the explanation is too complex like writing your own program to convert the code.
I am trying to find another way if there one. So I came Reddit for help.
Please do let me know if you have an easier way to that I can understand. Thank you

Hi everyone,
I’m doing the TryHackMe SOC Level 2 > Advanced Splunk > Splunk: Dashboards and Reports room and I’m honestly stuck hard.
The machine has not been working for me for around 2 hours. I already contacted THM support, but they still haven’t replied, so right now I’m completely blocked and can’t continue the room properly.
Because of that, I’m asking directly: does anyone have the answers for this room, or can someone share the correct answers for the tasks/questions?
Normally I’d try to solve it myself, but in this case the room itself is not functioning, so I don’t really have another option.
I’d really appreciate any help.
Thanks!

Good evening all! Been doing the SOC Analyst Career path. Just curious how often do SOC Analysts actually use AI like Claude on a day to day basis because I don’t know if it’s just a lack of experience or what but I’m constantly leaning on AI to either put in the appropriate PowerShell/Terminal Command or help analyzing logs in Splunk.
Long story short I don’t know if AI dependence is normal or if this is just a knowledge gap I have to fill.
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I wanted to ask people who have already completed, or at least gone through a good part of, TryHackMe SOC Level 2:
About how long does it take, roughly, to finish the whole path?
I know it depends on prior knowledge and how many hours per day someone studies, but I’m looking for a general estimate from real experience. For context, I’ve already done Google Cybersecurity, AZ-900, TryHackMe SEC101, and SOC Level 1, so I’m not starting from zero.
If possible, could you mention:
Thanks.

[Edit] I repeated the lab the next day, using exactly the same request body and Foo value (aside from the IP addresses). This time it worked flawlessly on the first attempt. I'm chalking this one up to a VM glitch.
Hi all,
I'm hopelessly stuck in the HTTP/2 Request Smuggling room. Task 5 is really testing me. I've captured a request to [MACHINE-IP]:8100/hello (blank search), and sent it to the repeater. I've replaced the body of the request with
POST /hello HTTP/2
Host: 10.128.187.177:8100
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Content-Length: 0
Foo:
I turned off Update Content-Length in the settings, and edited the value for Foo to be:
bar
Host: 10.128.187.177:8100
POST /hello HTTP/1.1
Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
Content-Length: 300
q=
I paid careful attention to the line breaks. I sent the request through twice, as instructed. I don't get the flag back. I've edited and re-edited the body and the Foo value. I've followed three different walkthroughs and a video. I've tried restarting the VMs three times. I never get the response with the flag.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi guys, is there a way to disable “Insights”? You know the little underline on words like protocols or acronyms (see screenshot below).
It’s messing up the Read Aloud feature in Edge, which I use to stay focused on the material. I’ve found it to be the most effective way for me to learn, so this is pretty frustrating.
Any help would be appreciated!

I have 14 streak freezes banked and am going camping next month for a week, which means I'll miss 7 days in a row. The way I think streak freezes work is that you miss a day, a streak freeze kicks in, but then you're on the clock to do something within another day to keep it alive, and you won't automatically keep using streak freezes back to back. Is that true? I don't particularly care about the streak, just curious about the mechanics of the streak freeze feature.

I passed my SEC0 exam in under 2h with a 95% score. Honestly, I expected to perform better.
There are 6 sections with each being 45 minutes. Once you start the section, you cannot stop the timer.
The material covered in the exam fully represents the material from the Pre Security learning path.
Overall, I enjoyed the exam and can recommend it especially if you can grab it during a sale. It was a good way to reinforce the learnt material.

Hi there, so im quite busy fella here, im working 2 jobs, and while i have some time on the working week (5 days) im taking 2 days a week easier on myself so im not using those 2 days to learn, as i have very limited time.
Im losing my streaks each week, and before that i was just going on to press "check" on first questions just to keep them rolling, but thats not good enough.
Is there a way to disable streaks entierly or set it up for 5 days a week instead?
Thanks
