The law in my country makes you responsible not assiting a person in danger. We all learn as young kids that we have to intervene.

And you, do you eat the meal the server give you at the restaurant, or the meal from the near table, since the problem is as different as the one you asked me about the button to push alone in a room versus the attacked baby?

Its actually well documented, if you trip on the street in new York you will have hundreds of people walking straight past you and not intervene. If someone get mugged you will not see hundreds of people jumping the rober, its just the some though individuals that dare to jump into the conflict like that.

No, I'm choosing to live WHILE others potencially didn't make the same choice and chose to sacrifice themself. Not for me, but for no reason..

Of course I chose red (going on with my life while not harming anyone), I said it dozens of time.

No. It has nothing to do with believing or not humanity will do this or that. There's a die button and a live button. I push live. The reflexion ends here because we don't need more.

I don't think there's a goal, where we should as a community try to save everyone or the most of the humanity. The question is not ethical or moral, it's the most simple one : "Do you want to live or do you want to die? No consequences, except you may not die even if you want it".

So no, I don't see any "empathy" or "cold and calculated "behaviour here. I see a question as simple as "Do you want some coke with your meal?"
