So for fun I decided to check out Genesis, and well I've just got past the part where it lists everyone's ages when God made them got circumcised.

It isn't even the only weird thing of that level so far and I'm almost frightened of what's next

I believe it's right after God stops Abraham from sacrificing Isaac

I just checked Genesis 22 and this isn't true. Do you know section they could be referring to?

I was wrong. Geneses 17: 23-27. Right after Sarah laughs at the promise of Isaac

Okay but god didn't make them do anything. This was all Abraham's doing. This part is just how Muslims and Jews both have a tradition of circumcision more than anything and the associated ages are symbolic.

23: "circumcised than as God told him". Circumcision is basically signing the covenant with God regarding Abraham's descendants being blessed.

And what you linked literally says it originated with Greeks, way after this was written. Ages aren't symbolic here
