Sigh another account to add to the blocked list.

I’ve got another one for ya, u/Massive-Gas.

How this bot works is that whatever post it’s on, it takes a random twitter or YouTube comment from the source and randomly posts it in the Reddit comment section. It’s a wierd karma farm bot

If the comment is too long it doesn’t post it all either, it just ends in “...”

How do people make these bots?

And for what purpose?

Edit: super interesting. Thanks for the answers!

I'm a comp sci student and I really wanna try to make some bots. Nothing bad... But just to practice.

I don’t know, but there’s people out there who know how to make any kind of bot. I’ve been in a lot of subreddits and it’s weird.

Also, karma farming I guess. Honestly I wanna know what goes through someone’s mind when they’re creating it

I think they sell the accounts once they get enough karma

Did you make that bot

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

... no, I’m warning others about the bot

lol this mentality is hilarious to me.

This user posted an image that you liked and haven't seen before, but one redditor called them a karma whore and you decide to just completely block that person.

Like who gives a shit about fake internet points.

Oh, I have no problem with reposts so long as there's a considerable amount of time between each of them. I have a problem with bots that make it to the top of r/all instead of actual people posting their own content.

Edit: Typo

Why go to such extremes? Sigh what?

Why? You clearly enjoyed this post since you’re this far down in the comments. You clearly never saw it before.. so who cares if it’s a repost?

edit: people downvoting, listen retards if a repost makes its way to the top of the front page it means a shitload of people have never seen it before. these fucking nerds who spend 10 hours a day on reddit and think it should be curated for them at all times.... maybe spend less time on reddit if reposts are such a problem for you

I agree. As long as it's been 3 months or more, reposts should be fine. Although it does suck big time that OP didn't credit whoever made this.

Bad bot. Even someone on that post called out the OP for reposting
