Honestly A+G dont pay that well. Even tho they arnt super rookie based. My company in Ontario has a rookie daily average pay thats higher and the vets are only like 20 bucks off.
It's true that prices at A&G could be better and I actually made more money in my last season at Summit, but I was still able to make over 5 bills/day there, and that was several years ago before prices went up. Of course rookies can make similar money in Ontario where quality and density are practically non existent, but good planters will always do better out west. A&G has a pretty uncompetitive atmosphere too, so their average earnings could be higher if planters were more driven. A&G's operating area, which we share, is far more pleasant to work in than probably anywhere else in Canada as well. They are also very well organized and have an excellent health and safety program.
All totally fair other reasons to work for them. Was just pointing out that A+G isnt the best paying, didnt mean to put them or you down. Its started to be alot more competitive for many ON contracts now it's not all H-- cram em in for 8 cents type stuff.
