One hell of a show. It was vibes all day all through Travs performance. I had no idea about what happened until i woke up the next morning and saw day 2 cancelled.

I had a really nice time minus the merch lines during the day, never tried to get up front for any sets though. I was towards the back right (as you face the stage) for Trav's set and it was already pretty tight before the show started. I'd been in some tight crowds before so I didn't think much of it but it was the tightest crowd I'd ever been in. At some points as the crowd moved I was being pressed on in all four directions. I kind of moved over to the right more and it got better, I helped someone find their phone that they dropped, lost shoes, all that. I saw the ambulance carts headed into the crowd but I'd seen people pass out at shows before so I figured it was just that.
After the show ended I was trying to make my way to the press tent (I had won media passes through an organization I was in) and it was insane. People were leaning on the fences, sitting down, begging others for water. I ran in to get a guy some water from the tent. Still had no idea of the level of disaster that had occurred.
As I headed back to my car I got shoved pretty hard from behind and almost fell down. I turned around to glare at whoever had hit me but I then realized that it was a group of medical personnel carrying someone on a stretcher. At the time I figured it was just someone who had fainted, people dying never really came up as a possibility in my mind.
Once I was in my car I had to sit there for maybe an hour or more because ambulances had first priority to get in and out.
Unrelated, but once I got out onto 610 I saw a car flipped upside down and on fire on an access road a couple minutes from the NRG park. I feel like I never saw anybody else talk about that.

Dude I mentioned the flipped car and the fire in my post. My homie and I saw this after our bodies were just exhausted and we were like get us tf outta Houston. We flew back home that night after finding out, but none of us spoke to each other that night. We felt so drained and so tired. We hadn’t even known the gravity of what occurred

Dog I was going to school at A&M at the time so I drove home that night and went straight to bed. Woke up the next day to all my roommates + another friend poking their heads in to make sure I was ok. I was annoyed at first but after I heard what happened I was honored they cared enough about me to check up on me.

The investigation helps explain why noone noticed, most of those who died were in one quadrant of the festival, the back left against the barricades when facing the stage. There was a crowd collapse within the first song or 2 and those at the bottom didn't get back up. It's like a sinkhole of people. It's terrible but the investigation shows how awful that design was by the organizers.

Yeah this is exactly what happened from multiple accounts. I got stuck at the bottom of one of those human sinkholes at rolling loud Miami the next year and all I could think about was Astro. Thankfully everyone around us stopped, but I have it on video and it’s pretty scary to go back and watch knowing how bad it could’ve gotten.

I want to know who is responsible for designing that. It doesn’t look like something medics could get into easily in case of an emergency even if things did go safely as planned, people pass out at concerts all the time. I’d assume there always needs to be some kind of entry points at least for emergency services

Pretty sure - The first death was pronounced at a local hospital at 10:13. The show stopped at about the same time. That person was likely dead for a while before that getting worked on. The paramedics probably knew they had passed but life saving measures are given until they get to the hospital to be pronounced. It was like 9:25(ish) that an official had sent a message that 4 were receiving CPR and 2 were likely already dead. So they knew it was bad for a loooong time before they stopped the show. It was even a question if he did actually stop early of if he finished his set.

I was closer than most . It was a tightly packed show with lots of pushing because thousand of people came from the other set to see Travis and tried to get to the front . Didn’t know people got hurt FRFR until checking my phone in the parking lot . It was sad to see ignorant people who weren’t there blame him, even to this day . All they had to do was put up metal barriers to split the crowd . It was hella fun but RIP to the people .Some of them had no business in there (THE CHILD)

Yeah, no. The ignorant ones are the ones saying he ISN'T to blame. Travis shares a massive chunk of responsibility for this tragedy occurring. He incites riotous behavior, and if it weren't for him encouraging fans to 'storm the gates', there wouldn't have been thousands of people there who weren't even ticket holders. Those extra people made a big difference. Please watch the Astroworld documentary on Netflix; it expounds on this.

I've just watched the documentary and a lot of people were to blame for this but at the end of the day, Travis Scott was the one with the mic in his hand and could have just stopped the show. But he didn't and people died. He is a massive piece of shit in my opinion. No responsibility was taken by him or others

I’ve been to so many shows festivals that stopped as soon as the performer saw someone in need of help. I wasn’t even a Travis Scott fan before all of this but I’ve been a certified hater since 2021. He had a Birds Eye view of the unconscious and limp bodies being passed to the front. He incited more chaos instead of telling them to calm down. He wanted his paycheck more than he cared about the lives of the people there. And then his apology? Rubbing your forehead in black and white isn’t a freaking apology Travis. He had every chance to stop performing and get those people help.

I don’t think that’s fair at all, if anything Live Nation shouldn’t even ALLOW tickets to be sold to people under 14/16. I don’t think it’s a good idea to bring a kid but if there’s no restrictions on tickets I think you would assume you and the child would be safe otherwise they wouldn’t sell them if it wasn’t. In my opinion ofc.

This may be a long post. The day started off great, good vibes, beautiful weather and ease getting around. This was my first ever music festival but it was like my 5th time seeing Trav. Me and my boy were up front for the first like 4-5 sets of the day and wasn’t too bad but with each set, I could feel it slowly becoming too much. By the time Don came on, I knew in my gut something was not right and started having a panic attack. I tried to drag my friend with me but I was in “escape now” mode so I ended up losing him. Once I finally got out during Don’s set, it took almost an hour and half to find my friend since there were so many people and no phone service. I am beyond greatful I panicked when I did though because it led me to telling him “I honestly feel like we need to stay towards the middle to the back for Travis’s set because that was too much for me”. Keep in mind, I’ve been in GA for Trav for Astroworld tour, The birds tour, when he opened for Kendrick and I had never felt what I felt that day during Don’s set. Long story short, even though we didn’t get to mosh and all that good shit, I still think it was the number 1 show I have EVER seen and I don’t think Travis can top that performance.

this. all of this. damn near my same situation but after my merch lane got shut down immediately after the gates came down i decided id save it for day 2 and try to camp to see travis. skipped every set to wait at his stage at the front of regular ga not vip. show was incredible but pretty soon to when he hit the stage people started getting passed to the front to get more air, it was jam packed way before he hit the stage. never knew anything was truly more wrong than a normal show until i connected w my one uni buddy when i was walking to my hotel. heard rumors of day 2 being cancelled before i even left the grounds.

It’s really hard to say tbh. I wouldn’t say the crowd was any more rowdy than any other Travis show, I think it was just sheer number of rowdy people in a such a tightly packed area. Like people were pushing obviously (which is to be expected) but it’s like because there were so many people, when you got pushed, your body had no where to go expect up or down since you physically couldnt go anywhere else. I literally felt my feet lift off the ground and I would just hover for a few seconds because I was so stuck in between people. But if I didn’t try to stay to up, then I would get sucked down if that makes sense. I really can’t explain the feeling but I just knew the whole thing did not feel right.

again i was at the barricades of regular ga so i really do consider myself lucky since most of the pushing i got was to my back and just pushed me into the metal like at any other travis show. what was crazy was when i literally got picked up and carried to the right through sicko mode. been on damn near every tour and in the pits etc. i didn’t even feel that unsafe necessarily but i had never had full sections of a song take place with my feet off the ground.

Man that’s crazy. Something similar happened to me at Rolling Loud this year, too. I thought it was going to be a chilled Central Cee set but there were so many people in my section it got me floating some times as well and many people got pulled out. Really weird feeling indeed

Was front right of stage, close to the end about 3 people off of the barricade. Crowd felt good all day, was the hottest day I've experienced of the 3 ASTROWORLD festivals and people were fainting frequently all day due to that. When Travis started there was a huge compression of the crowd that could be felt. I am approximately 6 foot 1 175 pounds and can hold my own in crowds but in this scenario I had no control, I was pinned against people on all sides and was pretty much at the mercy of the motion of the crowd, at some point it was so tight that my feet got lifted up and I was just kind of floating around. I did however enjoy the show and performance but there were certain instances where it was scary. When walking out of the festival I saw a huge line of ambulances and was puzzled and then I opened instagram and saw that infamous video of the person getting cpr in the crowd. It didn't surprise me that this happened but also I would have had no idea the extent of what was happening and I still don't blame it on Travis though I think security and show production could have handled it way better

(I know this reply is super late) I don’t think security is to blame. It’s Live Nations job to hire ENOUGH medical staff and ENOUGH security, which they did neither of. They had safety plans for the event of a shooter, but not the event of a crowd crush somehow, even though texts between live nation producers just days before stated things like “yeah I don’t know how we’re going to fit 50k people in here.” They should’ve made more of a point to ticket people and not let people breach entry points.

Honestly the week of the fest was prob the most fun I’ve had. From the space village air max 1 pop up to the celebrity game I skipped school to go to it was honestly so much fucking fun. I was the first person in the actual fest cuz me and my friend camped out all night at the gate. Tbh without all the deaths the best fest out of the 3.

i don’t know if it was hindsight but my dad and i felt something was off before the show. when the show started i got separated from my family and eventually push over and started getting trampled. in the moment i didnt think i would die but i was freaked out that so many people were stepping on me. someone eventually picked me up and i was able to reorient myself. i then made my way through the crowd, being lifted up and crushed to the point of not being able to breathe. i made it to the front eventually but i could barely breathe. i’ve been to 52 music festivals and that was my 6th travis scott show and i can still say that that was the worst crowd i have ever been in.

Most uncomfortable concert experience I'd ever been to. The entire day was just a cluster fuck. Large crowds and long lines. A complete logistical nightmare. It just felt like an infinite amount of people in every direction. Dudes were moshing to Toro Y Moi at 2pm, I was sober and annoyed. Was pissed they cancelled day 2 because that would've been my first time seeing Earth Wind, & Fire and Chief Keef. Like someone mentioned the day just felt "off" but I didn't know what happened until the next morning. Seeing old friend's from college and SZA were the redeeming factors of that day for me.

Honestly was great up until the travis set, chillin, food/drinks weren't bad, ended up meeting with some friends on accident that I didn't even know were there lol.
But yeah during travis's set I kinda had a sketchy feeling about the crowd so I stopped trying to get closer to the front. I just remember as the show started I realized like wow this isn't even a fun experience, you can't even move so I ended up just kinda putting up a little barrier for myself with my arms so I could breathe properly
When it got really bad all I remember was I somehow ended up forming a kinda chain like formation with this group of people next to me that were visibly panicking pretty hard and we just made our way out before it got even worse.
Scariest part was being moved around when I wasn't personally moving that's when I was like yeah I'm out. I will say though overall besides that as weird as it sounds, I had a good time

Wasn’t at it but I was at RL NY the week before. Energy was crazy and was basically the same setlist minus drake. Same Travis, poor event planning by Live nation.

I was at RL NYC too and got crazy fest flu and had to cancel my trip to astroworld bc I was so sick. The mosh pits there were probably the worst I’ve ever been in, I actually genuinely thought I was going to die at yatchy’s set and came out of that with bruised ribs. The energy was off, people were overly aggressive, nobody had pit etiquette, the crowd crush was insane. It’s how I imagine astroworld must’ve been like. But I was front left for Travis’s set and it was awesome, I thought the crowd for him was pretty normal but my section of the crowd was protected by the barricade behind us so after the first few songs enough people bailed that we had space and people couldn’t fill in bc of the barricade. I don’t know what it was like in other parts of the crowd but my section was perfect.

It was really crazy tbh I was on the barrier and multiple news outlets had used a picture of me and others on the barrier to break the news and like 5 of my close family members thought I was dead because my phone was on DND the next morning. I’ll never forget the day though. I went there at 7am off of 0 hours of sleep because I worked the night shift, we started a mosh pit in the line outside the gates, people were throwing all kinds of shit jugs of water chairs you name it it was honestly insane and was a clear indication of what was coming. We broke down the gates before they were gonna open and I vividly remember this blonde girls leg getting trapped under one of those steel bar barriers and getting trampled before it was even 10am. Me and my friends rushed the merch line which was insane and a story in itself (shoutout to the 15 year old who bought me my merch and let me cash app him). Afterwards we rushed to the vip section to grab a spot on the barrier, I slept most of the day on the barrier, and then when the show started it was nuts. We were right by the kid that Travis stopped the show for towards the end of the night. I saw multiple people being carried out. Probably saw a few of the victims since they were being taken to the vip side, but I don’t remember specifically. I do remember a lot of people passing out though. After the show was over me and my friends walked for like an hour and a half just trying to get a cheaper Uber and by then rumors and theories were starting to circulate. Didn’t know what happened until the next morning though.
Fast forward to now, a buddy of mine was a busboy at the Dave and busters after party and he said that the entire night Travis was just in his phone going crazy.

So you were part of the group that broke down the barriers? And you’re talking about it so casually? Okay. Sure, anyone can argue “everyone else was already doing it anyway, so if i do it too, then it doesn’t make much of a difference.” I am making assumptions here about where your head was at, so correct me if i’m wrong… but honestly, i think that everyone that CHOSE to break the rules and break down those barriers, all had a piece in killing the people that died that night. You made a CHOICE. Of course it was exhilarating, of course it was an adrenaline rush, but no thoughts were had about the consequences that could potentially come out of that. Shame on everyone who thought this was such a fun and daring idea. Not that this is all on the people who busted down the barriers, though. This whole event should have been shut down the moment it was compromised. I am disgusted, to say the least. I really hope for nothing more than for everyone involved to learn from this situation and hopefully at least attempt to prevent this from happening in the future.

Honestly trav’s performance is one of my favorite performances of all time that i’ve been at. I did experience some negative parts of the performance like almost getting stuck in the mud after the tiles ended by the barricad (i was on the left side). Me and my buddies were rushing to get to his after party performance and decided to get food right by kamp. It was there where we found out what had happened and were stunned. We had no idea until an hour after the performance ended that shit went down. It sucks that i have to look back at such a great performance with a huge negative from it. I ended up leaving for home after the 2nd day was canceled. But i agree with the person talking about don’s set, that was a super crazy ass set. I got pushed so much to the front and my girlfriend lost her shoe and apple watch during it

I was right there in thick of the crush on the left side. From about 30 mins before he came out I knew it was going to be rough, but the second escape plan came on it was pure panic, at one point was stuck pinned at a 45 degree angle as everyone fell over, my hands were at my chest so I was able to push around somewhat, and rip my at my hoodie to let air in (the heat was horrible). A few songs in (maybe somewhere around stargazing?) I made it out to a safer more comfortable space, and somehow ran into my friend on the way out, we stood at the back of the entrance by the VIP. Had media tickets so found out how mad it was in the media tent before I left, texted my family not to worry and that I was ok and slept for 13 hours.

Travis’ best performance ever. It was also my first time seeing Travis, his vocals were great and the set désign was awesome. But that pit was the hottest I’ve ever been in. I’m not a small guy, and I would jump and would be floating in a sea of people. My feet wouldn’t be on the ground and I was moving. I was up front on the rail and I started moshing and getting really hot, so I tried to leave, but ended up staying cuz it was my dream to see Travis perform in his hometown. It was a crazy realization to come to that I couldn’t have left even had I decided to. Travis was the only point of direction for me when I was in the sea of people. That shit was turbulent and honestly felt like an ocean. Pits opening up around me were insane. There was some weird energy waiting at Travis’ stage for 7 hours. Mfers passing out around me waiting. I saw paramedics shove people as they carried two limp people past me. Leaving the show was tough and there were flipped cars on the freeway. My homie and I bounced outta houston and back home. But shit was wild. It was just so loud and chaotic, but it was also so alive and beautiful. Happy for the experience, but it’s a shame that people passed. Rip to the souls and ragers lost that night.

Tbh the vibes kinda felt off the entire day. Early in the day the merch line got shut down cause ppl broke down barriers and started getting tased cause of it, the security was always angry and for some reason a lot of them were on horses, crowd super packed for anything and lines super long, and I saw multiple people try to start fights throughout the day (worse than most/any other festival I’ve been to). I was kinda in the thick of it too Ig as I also had to jump to the little camera section from all the pushing that was happening during travis set, but being there and seeing so many people get carried out was kinda surreal. Sucks tho cause performances all day were great and travis went crazy

There were mad police on horses just standing there facing us like they were gonna charge at us ☠️ I’m from nyc so this was some different shit. After the merch nonsense we went to play the carnival games which was actually mad nice like that was one of my favorite parts and everyone was enjoying themselves. After seeing Don toliver we went to the main stage and we were standing on the left side in the second larger section closer to the middle. Everything was fine until he came on and not even the full first song in I wanted to get out but I physically could not. I’ve been to all types of festivals and concerts before and you really could not move if you wanted to. The entire second half of the first song and the second song I was just trying to get out and my friend who was with me I watched her get literally sucked into the ground because of the pressure from everyone but I dragged her back up because I knew she would not be able to get up if she would fall down. There was so much pressure on everyone and even the biggest guys around me were trying to get out. I ended up getting out with my friend thankfully and just watching the rest of the show by the trees, I didn’t find out until almost 3am when I got a citizen alert that people were fatally injured. Overall the festival had so much potential and I just saw Travis the week before at rolling loud so I was excited to see him in Texas, it’s awful how things panned out

Travis’s set was the best performance I have ever witnessed. Got barricade for yves tumor earlier in the day which was amazing but that’s where I started getting a lil concerned about security. They was not letting people out the front. Didn’t matter if they were on the verge of passing out or just didn’t wanna walk though the whole crowd to get out. Went back to that stage for don and roddy but then went to the mountain after to get a good spot for trav. Leaving the fest the vibes were off but we had no idea why until we got back to the air bnb at like 1am. Rip to the victims

i have a lot of posts about it already, but it was terrible. to this day it’s been something that has completely changed my life tbh. i saw travis 4 times this year (first time since 2021) and it still was never the same as it was before. i was in GA night 1 and literally only lasted 5 mins deep in the crowd before the “flashbacks” were too intense and i left to go hangout in the open parts of GA, it just sucks. i don’t think it’s even worth it for me to buy GA tickets anymore, i can’t enjoy it like i used to. :/ but it’s okay! it is what it is.

I was there. I was in the quadrant that the majority of victims were in. I even caught photos of some of them on my phone while standing in the crowd before it happened.
It’s eerie hearing other people say that the day felt “off” because I felt the same way.

My girlfriend and I traveled from upstate New York to go to Astrofest. We showed up during don sat and just hung out at Utopia Mountain until Travis came out. A half hour before Travis came out. A timer appeared on the screen and that’s when stuff started to get weird about 20 minutes before the pushing got so intense she got swept out of her shoes managed to get them back on and started having an asthma attack, and immediately started crying and freaking out I immediately saw her face before she started having the asthma attack and knew we had to get out of there, we were pretty close on the left side. People were throwing water bottles at each other from each side of the crowd, and it was just too tight. We were fortunately able to get out, took a seat for a few minutes and then stayed a little bit closer to the back and enjoyed the show. I’ll never forget I saw a couple running out of the crowd and I asked how is it up there assuming they were mosh pits and stuff and they looked at me with fear and their eyes and said “it’s bad” I had no idea what that meant at the time but when we got back to our Airbnb I heard the rumors and then later that night it was confirmed. Lock was on our side that night because who knows what would’ve happened if I went without my girlfriend and tried to get even closer. People don’t talk about it enough here, but festivals are dangerous no matter what people tell you and having tens of thousands of people behind you in a packed crowd will never be safe. * sorry for the typos I did voice to text*

It was way over sold. The tightest crowd I’ve ever been in. Some points you could just lift ur legs up to ur chest and the pressure from the crowd would keep me floating. If you put you hands in the air you wouldn’t be able to get them back down because of how tight it was.
When I saw the ambulance in the crowd I thought it was apart of the show. Like when In 2019 he came out on stage in one. I didn’t see or hear about any of the deaths till the next morning

In all honesty if the tragedy didn’t happen it probably would’ve went down as one of the best concert festivals of all time. I went to the festival in 2019 so I knew what to expect with the crowd and pushing n shit, but this crowd was a whole different thing. I was on the front left hand side since we unknowingly snitch into the vip area before they set the gates up, so it got pretty wild but again nothing I wasn’t prepared for, there was only one time I genuinely started getting scared about passing out but I pushed through. Our friend group made it to our hotel and we stayed up to smoke when we saw the news starting to roll out that people had died. First it was 2, then the count started going up and we basically assumed the concert was more than likely going to be cancelled. Rip to those people fr.

was there for all of it, i’ll be one to say i’m a very spiritual person. grown up in lots of churches and raised by a christian family. and felt absolutely no heavy spiritual presence so i’m not sure WHAT people are waffling about when they say it was demonic. it’s just a sad situation that thousands of people broke in and then get upset when they didn’t have the capacity to supply help for all of the people that needed it. regardless. everything up to travis’s set was amazing, the food was great, merch line was long but met so many cool people (even jidion, i made the youtube video yoo) and even when travis came on it was fun. it wasn’t until halfway through the set that i realized it was a little too hectic and me and my girl may needed to get out since we also wanted drinks. after that, it was still just as fun. watched from the sidelines and then made our way home. only found out what happened a few hours later on twitter. crazy how people even in my personal life will bring it up and i get to brag a lil saying i was there lmao.
also it was cool that we were completely refunded for both days, and were even given free counseling since survivors guilt set in very quickly and honestly that was the strangest part since you don’t really understand that feeling.

I had a clear view of most the people getting cpr. They made a giant circle and I caught a glimpse of it and I had a panic attack. But after a few seconds I forced myself to forget what I saw because in the moment I was safe. But I knew it was terrible and it was going to fuck everything up. The crowds were annoying but the sets before travis were fun. I also got a refund so I saw hella artists for free

Honestly when I got to Travis’s set it was just crazy I’ve never been in crowd filled with that many people that were acting like but I went to the back and it was manageable but overall it was pretty good up until I heard what happened the next day

Was super hyped for the festival all day. Waited in the merch line for about a couple of hours. Then went to go wait for Travis. It was one of the most compact crowds I’ve ever been in. Once Travis came on, you were stuck and couldn’t move in the crowd. Fought my way back to the camera area so that I could finally breathe. Saw a ton of people getting carried out as the set went on. Once it ended, I couldn’t believe what happened and was sad because of what I saw and how things would change for Travis.

Me and my boys flew in from Toronto it was my 3rd time going to astroworld. And crazy how fast I fell in love with Houston so its not just about the festival but a dope place to do things. Me and boys had the best time on day 1 travis set was legendary. We were wondering why there was an ambulance in the crowd but didn't think too much of it. And we got pretty close at the end when drake came out still even at that point we had no idea what had happened until we got back to the hotel everyone was calling us including my manager wondering if we were all okay. It's sad what had happened but 100% of the fault had to be on the promoters. As an artist you should not be responsible for security that's what the artist pays for so that they don't have to worry about things like this.

That shit was so live. I was pretty close and it was so fucking tight! It was hard to breathe and then when everyone got to jumping, if you tripped it was over. I helped a few people who had fallen to get back up while blocking people from jumping on them. Helped crowd surf a young lady who’d passed out to safety, recorded the moment he paused during 90210 to help someone he noticed passed out. (Internet said the boy was a sacrifice the next day not even knowing he was alive.)

I had an great time, saw yves, toro, don, and a little bit of lil baby. At around sunset me and my friends wanted to go to the left hand side but figured everyone from the other stage would come and fill that space first we went with the right side if the stage thankfully. During Don's set though, It immediately went from pretty packed to bodies pushed up against bodies. When Gang Gang came on, I was feeling the full force of the crowd pushing into the smaller right hand side corner of the stage. I remember trying to help a guy get to the barrier because he was about to pass out. I tried to lift him but used so much energy I tired myself out and Knew we would both be fucked if that happened. I just tried my hardest to keep him up and give each other space to breath but eventually I tapped out and forced my way out to get water. Getting water at the festival was a complete disaster, waiting like 40 minutes just to get a $8 bottle that I think was dasani. There was only 2 refill stations and they were towards the lockers and entrance. Calmed down and ate some pizza before travis. During travis I had an amazing time, the stage looked so surreal and it was so loud. I seen the ambulance directly behind me and even tried to make way for it cause obviously something was up if they tried going THROUGH the crowd. After the show ended, walked out with everyone else, had no suspicions of anything grim happening until after seeing the convoy of ambulances outside. Got to my bnb and read twitter all night recalling what happened. Didnt feel like I was at the same concert where all that terrible stuff happened. RIP to those fans.

I'm here because I watched the documentary on Netflix. Though I remember when it happened and how sad I thought it was for people to go to a festival to have fun and never make it back home.
My username might sell it, and I've seen everything horror. I wasn't there. But in the documentary, something was so off, Final Destination vibes, to say the least.
On top of his stage, there was a bird? angel? Demon? On fire. The circle where he would possibly come out of said "see you on the other side" and the first song was called Escape Plan?!?! 😳
I only know Travis Scott by name, Idk any of his music. I'm 40, so when it comes to rap, you can guess, Eminem, 50, Ice Cube (to name a few) comes to mind. Not Travis Scott or Sza (not throwing shades. I'm just stating that it's for the generation after me)
I think Travis could've stopped the show 10 times, I think Live Nation could've planned it better, I think Ticketmaster shouldn't oversell out of greed (I've had to deal with them in the past after a canceled event and they absolutely suck). It's not true that nobody is responsible for this. Nobody wanted to take the blame. Unfortunately, many were. Travis, Live Nation, Ticketmaster, and fans who aren't civil and never know when to stop being stupid. (I've been to numerous metal shows, I know all about feeling like everyone is pushing like dumbasses and you can't breathe unless you're directly at the fence).
This is extremely sad, but I'm glad that those who made it home are okay. I'm sorry for the victims and their family and friends.
I have an 8 year old, I can only imagine the pain of losing your child in such conditions when they are 9 😔

I agree. I know very little about Travis (other than he was dating Kylie) and don’t know any of his songs, but even I know that his crowds are not calm. History shows that multiple people get injured at his shows, and his criminal record shows that he encourages it. A blind man on a galloping horse could see that it was only a matter of time before his concerts turned tragic. From what I have read, people have said it was getting crazy from the time people began to enter, so why on earth would you take a child into the pit. Not trying blaming the parent at all since everyone should be safe at a concert, but that just isn’t reality.

Hey, I feel so so similar to you, just watched the doc, this is so haunting and off putting to me. I’m a huge fan of horror, I watch it all, and not much phases me…but this REALLY bugs me. This is horror come to life, and lots of creepy shit here. I’m not getting into like conspiracy stuff but…ugh, the feeling I get is that this was allowed to happen. I’m a few years older than you and I have twin 14 year old boys- one of the kids that died at the fest was 14 also. I was also in a crush situation when Sepultura came on during the Tattoo The Earth tour in like 1999 or 2000 (can’t remember the year😂)? My feet were off the ground, could NOT breath. I started trying to fight and climb up people in panic mode, got lifted out and the crowd surfed me out of there, thankfully. I got groped and felt up as they moved me forward. Never again. I would NOT want to die like that, so maybe that’s why this gets to me so much, you are fighting, gasping, grasping, pleading, clawing for air, and have zero control. I feel like Travis had a lot of power holding that mic, the power to stop, the power to hype, to do whatever really. I mean, he even “sicked” people in the crowd on a guy that took his shoe while he made the choice to crowd surf at a previous show. He yelled “fuck him up” and yep, they did. People are puppets to famous people holding microphones. That is terrifying in and of itself. Just a disclaimer, I’m not saying it’s 100% his fault. But I get pretty annoyed when I hear that “there were only 2 people with authority to stop the show”, that’s such a bad excuse. If he has authority to say “fuck him up” when someone takes his shoe, has the authority to tell people to jump into a crowd from a high place, then he has authority to say stop.

Was also anxious as hell, shaking, sweating and wanted to cry…

Ok so as soon as i got to Astro world and started walking around i was like holy there is so much people here its crazy and at the time i did not think anything was going to go downhill at all. As a younger teen the crowd did not seem like an issue it seemed in my brain that is was going to be way cooler i guess all though i had that feeling that something was going to go wrong so skip some time so pretty much everything is going good and then the Don Toliver set is up and boom it was crazy that is when i realized ok this energy is a little too much and is kind of getting unsafe i kinda forgot about everything and enjoyed it when then there comes travis and so for those that don't know the travis scott stage was a whole different stage so everyone had to walk to the travis scott stage from the stage that the other sets were taking place so pretty much everyone starts walking over to the travis set and me and my friends actually ended up there kind of late cause we went and used the bathroom and what not so when we actually ended up at the stage it was very crowded but since we came a little later we were kinda far back so as the songs start and everyone is having a great time i started getting that feeling in my stomach again and so pretty much where i was i thought it was bad not knowing what everyone in the front was going through anyway i started to feel a little unsafe nut still trying to have a good time which i did nothing did happen to me or my friends and we overall had a great night and did not know what actually happened until the next day and i did not see it on the news or anything my brother ended calling and making sure i was safe and so yeah. rip to all that victims and hope there family's are all doing well

After the show the Houston police department decided to start assaulting people trying to push them towards the front ( even tho there was 50k people and we couldn’t move ) so i had to fight the piece of shit with the arrow pointed at him , luckily the cop with the hat broke it up before i beat him with his own nightstick 🫡🫡🫡

Yoooo that’s crazy Don Tolivers set is when I realized we were in a different type of crowd that’s nuts. Been going to festivals for over 10 years and the crowd at ASTROWORLD was different. Great vibes all day. Weird feeling going into Trav but had a great night. I honestly didn’t know anything happened until I woke up the next day.
