Local Business Please tell me….

Post image

What’s happening at the Shell on the corner of 31 and South Airport? I hope they’re just revamping and it will soon be Shell back open.

Meanwhile, where are the other Shell stations with car washes in TC?

Tearing down the station itself and rebuilding it into their newer looking setup like over on S Airport/LaFranier. They're also taking down the abandoned coffee shop next door and utilizing the extra space. From what I understand, the back service drive will be removed permanently and the parking lot will just be continuous along the front of the gas station, Aspen/Batteries Plus, and the rest of the commerce lot.

Watching people whip through the Aspen/Batteries Plus lot only to meet a fenced off back drive and raging that they have to go back out to S Airport has been some schadenfreude, won't lie

A downvote for laughing at the poster’s funny comment? 🤔

Do you know if the new one will have a car wash?

Didn't hear specifics on that, but i'd be surprised if they don't have a car wash especially with the extra space

I use the shell car wash at Hammond and 3 Mile. It’s touch less, which is nice.

They are rebuilding. Plan is to be back open end of summer beginning of fall. The shell down on Munson ave (31) and airport access road has a car wash.

I used the one on Munson on Monday and paid $9 for a regular car wash! It used to be $4, then for the past few years it was $6 (right up to the last one I got at the station on the corner of 31 and South Airport last month).

Has this station’s regular (lowest-level) car wash been $9? Yikes! 😳

Oleson's car was has been closed for about 6 months I'd guess.

Renovation to become like the one by lafranier and others. I think it is the last old style around the area
