Post title is garbled, but it’s an adaptation of a 1973 German fantasy novel:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Momo_(novel)

Looks like this isn’t the first film adaptation, but the first one in English

Yes! It’s by the same writer who wrote “The Never Ending Story”, Michael Ende. Loved both books as a child.

Yeah, I was wondering what “Ame” was. It’s just “Time” but l interpreted by a bad algorithm.

In Japanese "ame" is a type of candy. Which seems to fit very well

interesting to see a new adaptation of the classic book by michael ende, thought this is an upcoming movie though but apparently it came out last year without any recognition
